try having lunch and snacks would be my suggestion - I use sugarfree jelly 10cals or a corn cake nicer than rice cakes 2@46 cals or even 1. or a weightwatchers fromage frais 50cal Cherry toms around 6 for 11 cal I think

Hi pinkbow,

I too would recommend using small healthly snacks, which might just be a piece of fruit or similar, or something of not even 100 kcal to 'tide you over' to your next meal.

Clearly avoid unheathy calorific snacks, but try not to go for more than about 4 hours without eating anything at all. It helps to prevent your blood sugar dropping too low which tends to hinder fat burning.

Other than that you might want to focus on longer-lasting carbs, such as marathon runners use.

Good luck

I usually have a sandwich for dinner, or a cup pasta/noodle (cue the horrified comments! :p), plus 2/3 pieces of fruit from apple, pear, banana, nectarine, peach, satsuma, blueberries, raisins, plum (basically whatever is on offer at Aldi!). If I feel like I need it I will have a packet of curly fries (67 calories) as well

I eat between 1 and 130 and this will take me to the end of the working day (530) just fine.

BUT because I don't get home until at least 630 and I wouldn't be having tea until at least 8-830pm I will have a banana or other snack around 5, which also helps stave of boredom if work is quiet.

I had a tomato sandwich for lunch today, with half an avocado on the side. Yesterday I had two fried eggs on two pieces of toast. I often have a sandwich for lunch, perhaps with a tuna mayo or egg mayo filling - I just don't overdo the amount of filling and spread it relatively thinly. Snack wise (i.e. between meals), I might have a small yoghurt, or some fruit and nuts, and in the evening I usually have one square of Lindt chocolate as an evening snack, and usually a piece of toast later in the evening with spread on it.

Best of luck with your goals this week.

thanks for all your answers,I will definetely have snacks in between if I had too. I have to say last week it was difficult and I massively cheated but this week I started out good and haven't cheated at all . I think some of my bad habits are sort of chasing me.

I have gotten a lot better at sorting out what is nice and healthy but I know that there will be times when I will fail and all I can say is that I will not be giving up until I have reached my goal.

I have a Vi shake at around 1pm and then a pear at about 3pm. It keeps me full until dinner. I have lost inches around my waist since a month and I feel I have more energy also. If you would like to get more information then check out visalus.uk.com. Good luck.

Hard boiled eggs, keep them in the fridge for emergencies, with a a bowl of grated carrot snack on this in between if I need to only 60 to 80 calories in an egg.

If you’re after something a little more tasty or warm could try a tin of Heinz macaroni cheese with frozen peas - easy to eat up in the microwave at work, and depending on the amount of peas you add comes to about 390 calories
