SLIMFAST: Has anyone tried the slimfast... - Weight Loss Support
SLIMFAST
I've tried a Slimfast drink or two a long time ago, and must admit that I didn't find it very satisfying. I much prefer eating 'proper food' and just trying to make sure I keep the meals balanced for protein, fats, carbs etc, and have the recommended portions of fruit and vegetables. I find that far more satisfying and effective to lose weight. Exercise alongside is the key I think.
Hi scottishlass1,
I'm generally against slimming products as I personally would prefer to take responsibility for what I eat and prepare and cook it myself.
But also, the fault with this sort of thing comes when you've lost the weight, then what?
Then, do you start re-training yourself to eat healthily with 'proper' food? Isn't the re-training part and parcel of the weight loss plan? Shouldn't you have been doing that alongside the weight reduction itself?
Or do you go on having the shakes, frozen meals or whatever for the rest of your life?
It just doesn't quite make sense to me.
But each to their own, I guess.
I personally wouldn't spend the money on them. I'd rather buy 'real' food.
I tried Slimfast , but I could only stay with it for two weeks ,I did loose a little weight but I could not stick with it any longer.
Yes - I tried it but it gave me headaches and had to stop it.
I have been doing the The 90 Day Challenge with visalus.co.uk. Its going really well at the moment. I have lost 1kg in one week so far.
