Hi everyone I'm brand new to this, but hopeful I'll find some answers and great advice. I'm 39 years old, have pcos, over the last two years my periods have gone crazy. I bleed so, so heavily, I'm on 20 pads a day, (the heavy flow ones) huge clots through our the day and I've bled for 35 days like this, plus 15 of light period.
Nothing works, tranexamic acid, mefonic acid, no contraception pills.
I have put on weight but I want to know what will stop it. I'm bed ridden today, feel so tired and dizzy, really upset and actually in able to walk as I feel I'm going to pass out.
I've been to gynecologist, 3 different ones they just say get the coil put in. But I'm dead against it, the idea of it being inside pumping drugs into my system for 5 years.
Not only that most women say it doesn't work
Anyone had a similar experience?
Please shed some light

I don’t much advice to offer I’m afraid but just wanted to say I really feel for you. I had this in my early 20s and was pretty much told by GP at the time that it was impossible to bleed for that long and to go away.
Eventually they put me on norethisterone which didn’t stop the bleeding when taken with a break as you’re meant to. So they said to take it continually which I ended up doing for 2 years. It stopped the bleeding but really isn’t good for you and when I stopped the meds I didn’t get a period for over 2 years.
I’m sorry you’re going through this - it’s really awful and I think there’s a real lack understanding (or willingness to take it seriously) in this area. X
Thanks for getting back to me, it's sad that only women like yourself, who have suffered can understand my agony.
I agree with you, I'm constantly finding myself trying to prove that I have bled for this long and then they don't believe when I tell them how heavy the bleeding is.
Every gynecologist and Dr literally say try the coil and take iron.
But it's the bleeding I want to stop.
I seriously think some days I'll bled to death.
I can't even go to the gym while bleeding but in all honestly losing weight definitely helps.
When I'm slimmer, or was for a few years, everything was bliss.
I'm drinking oshaka bark at moment
I think there is definitely something about that helps with cramps and bleeding.
It's all natural so anyone suffering read up on it and try it, it's herbal so safe,
