I'm going to a gig next Monday, my first one since having T. I've had a hearing test and I have moderate hearing loss in my left ear, which is the ear I mainly have T in.
I've read that protecting your hearing is advisable to help prevent T getting worse.
I've been looking at Loop earplugs, the Experience Plus ones, to wear at the gig to take down the noise level.
Has anyone tried these and of so are they worth the money?

This is an excellent question and I think a great many of us would be very interested in people’s experience in loops.
hi I am in same situation as you. ENT consultant advised me completely fine to use. I tried this in theatre last month and was fine. It does take some getting used to as for me I am always aware I have something in my ears and hearing your own internal voice is uncomfortable. However they do reduce the harsh volume significantly for me. So yes. I would say trial. I use them in the car as for some reason the car noise is the thing my ear particularly does not like. Don’t wear too much though as this can cause increased noise sensitivity when taken out. Exposure to some every day noises has benefited me in being less sensitive. However you do have to find your own habits.
interesting you said about the car noise .I have exactly the same .So as long as my husband is driving ,I can wear ear plugs .
hi! I have loop but I use it for smaller things like bars, restaurants, or anything I find too loud. It’s nice to have them as back up in my purse. But for concerts and etc I’ve always used foam ear plugs because I read that they protect the most. Then again I was just at a concert and suddenly got tinnitus in one ear and had foam ear plugs (not sure what caused it) but I felt like loop didn’t have as much protection as foam
Really useful, thank you. I'm going to get the Loops with the added noise blocker ring thingy that you can add in. Will also take foam plugs 9f I don't feel like they're enough.
Wax ear plugs called Quies are much better. Totally block out any sound. Can be tweaked so you can hear just a bit if you want to. I found foam ones useless in loud situations.

I have a pair of these and they are pretty good although for gigs I prefer to use Alpine musicsafe pro ( alpinehearingprotection.co.... ) as (1) they have changeable filters so I can taylor the amount of sound I am exposed to (depending on type of concert) and (2) I think they are slightly better in hearing the quality of the music as the loop ones seems slightly duller (3) they are slightly better fit for my ear but I know that is very subjective 
. FYI, I normally stand well away from speakers and the front of stage when attending gigs.
I've never used Loop earplugs but I can recommend the ones from earpiece.co.uk
I use their plugs for motorcycling and they have been excellent.
Using earplugs of any sort is good idea anyway. My ears were damaged by playing in rock bands and going to gigs without ear protection.

I suffer from tinnitus & hyperacusis and sometimes use EarDial earplugs to dampen the volume in noisy places. They're discreet and work pretty well. The thing I struggle with the most is getting used to the feeling of having something in my ears for a while.
Let us know how you get on with the Loop earplugs if you buy them.
I went to a concert last Thursday and invested a pair of Experience loop. They were amazing. Takes a little while to work how to get them to seal the ear but well worth it. I recommend them and will be wearing mine when I go to see Take That in June.
Brilliant! So glad they worked for you! I ended up buying the Music ones by Alpine as I was short on time for the shipping of the Loop ones. Plus they were only £13! We ended up being shuffled right near the front of the stage and they worked really well. Seeing the Foo Fighters in a few months, might have to upgrade as no doubt it will be even louder!😅

I went to a concert last year with my daughter and she struggles with very noise and loud atmospheres and is often triggered by this. However, it feels a shame that she should then miss out on these sorts of experiences, especially when her friends are all going to concerts.

Keep your eyes peeled for a discount if the cost is the thing that's concerning you. But the earplugs themself are great
