Will is an established tinnitus researcher, someone whose work we have supported in the past and he generously gives his time as the chair of our professional adviser's committee:

His work has also been funded by RNiD in the past, so I would have to guess that this research is broadening his previous work on the relationship between tinnitus and cognition - the elusive connections in the human brain which make our individual experiences of tinnitus as different as they can be.

This is all there seems to be online. So apart from the fact it's legit there's very little info. £12,500 seems to be a very small amount of money for any research though. newcastle-hospitals.nhs.uk/....

Yes, I don't know if they are getting funding from elsewhere as well. It's the first time I've looked at the RNID pages but it's interesting to see some of the studies taking place.
