When T broke through this year I invested in 2 over ear head phones. One traditional, the other designed for gaming. The latter is far superior - I only use that one for TV now. At not high volume it provides a pleasant booming effect. It seems to stun T into silence as when taken off its not there for a precious short time. I might also mention that never having needed headphones for a TV before I was unaware of the stereo programs are produced in. I'm watching some Springwatch episodes recorded in 2022 and it is simply marvellous the distinct sounds coming through which would otherwise be undetectable if from the set speakers.

Many thanks Ray.

So as far as you know earphones or Apple wifi earphones dont have a negative affect on T?

I really can't say, Andy. I'm a newbie at T only having it this summer. My suspicion, for what it is worth, is that headphones are not a problem for people like me who developed T from deep emotional grief (says Wiki). I can imagine that may not be the case where T can be identified with a physical cause.

Hi - I have some bone conduction headphones - sit just above the ear - as i have read that to allow your ear canals air is better overall - that's just my personal take..i note that on YouTube the man who runs one of the Tinnitus help groups wears over the ear headphones all the time, so i guess as long as you don't wear them constantly or too high? 🤗
