CBD oil has helped my Tinnitus

I have waited a while to post this, I certainly don’t want to tempt providence. One of my daughters bought me a bottle of CBD oil hoping it might help my Tinnitus (I have had Tinnitus and Hyperacusis since 2019) I gave it a try, about 5 drops under my tongue three times a day, my initial reaction was it tastes awful. There was no change to my Tinnitus but I stuck with it seen as she had gone to the trouble to buy it for me. After a couple of days I didn’t notice the taste anymore, but I did think my Tinnitus sounded slightly softer (less intense) my sleep also improved dramatically, not that my Tinnitus kept me awake like it does for many.

I have nearly finished the bottle and have ordered another from Holland and Barrett but the next potency up to see if that works even better for me.

It might be just be a coincidence that my Tinnitus seems a little better, maybe I am just habituating to it a little? However I thought I would share this with you in case you wanted to give it a try.

I have attached a photo of the bottle my daughter brought for me. As I say, it’s not stopped my Tinnitus or Hyperacusis but I do think it is less invasive .

I’ve tried CBD oil too, various brands and strengths, to be honest it did nothing whatsoever for me. The BTA don’t recommend it either, but then they don’t tend to recommend anything. I hope you’ve found something that helps you, we’re all different.

Glad it works for you, hopefully your T will stay less invasive, but the trouble with T is what helps one person may not help others. By the way what is the cost for CBD oil?

Thank you. That bottle was £30 which while not cheap, is worth it if it helps. I absolutely agree that we are all different and what helps one person may not help the next

stop the nonsense. The only thing that will help is the passage of time and Susan Shore's AURICLE DEVICE which is not similar to Lenire. Lenire does not deal with loudness. I believe it is a waste of money. Wait for Auricle.

Does tinnitus get better with the passage of time? Do you have a link to info about Auricle? On April 27, I suddenly developed tinnitus in my right ear. Appointment with ENT in June.

Susan Shore’s Auricle d evice is the answer. . Hopefully ready in early part of 2024. Nothing else works. Beware of scammers pushing sound therapy maskers and supplements. Lenire is a $4000 scam. Tinnitus for most improve with time. To sleep ask your ent for a .5 mg clonazepam. Stay away from loud noises. No headphones or Apple buds with the rubber around them .Acupuncture doesn’t work. Losing weight may help if you have a bmi over 27.

I honestly don’t know. I had pretty much given up hoping for something that was a real help and only tried this as my daughter had bought it for me.

I’m trying a higher dose CBD oil now (from Holland and Barrett) and still feel it is helping. My hyperacusis is unchanged, but I do think the tone of my T is less intense.

We are all different, and this might not help everyone, but I wouldn’t want to stop taking it.

What is your dose of CBD and how often?

I take 5 drops twice a day under my tongue, it says on the bottle that is 16.7mg per serving ( 60 servings per bottle)

That's great news and I hope it continues. You can also grow your own CBD plants at home now, you can now purchase Cannabis CBD seeds with NO THC so its legal. Only difficult part is learning how to extract the CBD oil from the flowers, leaves, and stalks of the plant. It will be cheaper in the long run as CBD oil is getting way too expensive. Unfortunately its still illegal to grow CBD in the U.K, hopefully this will change in the future.

Tried CBD oil. Really helped me not give a monkeys about it and mainly control anxiety. But the downside it may be that you need more of it as you go along and it might not mix with other meds. Presntly on strong sleeping pills which you cant mix with CBD

that’s good to hear (no pun intended!) as I keep thinking about giving cbd oil a go too? As I have quite bad T and Hyperacusis too. Reading this has propelled me to now look into it properly. Thanks, Mark.
