Just a warning if you intend to watch Doctors today as it features a nasty high pitched noise, several times, that got my tinnitus going so much it made me feel sick. I have complained to the BBC but don't know if it will have any effect.
BBC Doctors noise warning: Just a warning if you... - Tinnitus UK
BBC Doctors noise warning
How ironic eh! Thanks x
Hi Lannanta Thanks for the heads up. I'll definitely give it a miss. Hope your tinnitus settles very soon. It's surprising how easily T can spike.
Sorry to hear this.
Since hearing problems and T began to have a big impact on my life from last year onwards, I've come to feel there is quite a big divide between those lucky people with totally normal hearing and those who suffer with T and hearing loss. Great hearing and lack of T are rather taken for granted, I think, until a problem strikes. Thus no one thinks to warn about excessive noise in the tv programme.
I now realise just how precious good hearing is, and I feel there should be more done in terms of public information campaigns to warn people about the dangers of noise damage.
BBC news interviewed the singer last week who is singing the UK song at this year's Eurovision. He seemed to say when cutting the grass that he drowns out the sound of the lawn mower by turning up the music on his ear buds or headphones. Surely behaviour which risks damage? The BBC newsreader just smiled at what he said!
