I have been on 7.5 mg of mirtazapine for 4 weeks now
Developing hyperacusis.
I honestly think that this purely coincidental .
Notwithstanding ,I shall ask the question if anyone is aware of a link between hyperacusis and such a small dose of mirtazapine over such a relatively short period of time .
Thanks
Peter

If anyone is aware of it then it would be on the pack insert - but if you were in the UK I’d suggest you chat to your pharmacist as, here, they are the ones who have trained for years on side effects and co-morbidities and so on. You may have the same system in Oz.
In the UK it is part of the pharmacist’ function to advise you on this sort of thing. A recent survey of UK retail pharmacists found that 80% of them were very willing to advise their customers.
Yes I imagine so, plus their experience of doing shifts in hospitals (which I understand is what retail pharmacists do). If you pose the question here you’ll only get hearsay.
hi - does the Mrtzpn reduce yr tinnitus at all? I believe it makes u sleepy at bedtime and reduces anxiety - have you found this to be the effect of this??
