Just noticed that the Swedish device “Tinearity” is now available to pre order for £460 . I’m sure originally it was said that it was going to be 2 grand ? Anyway will be interesting to see if it helps anyone I like the fact that you wear them behind your ears and not in them .

Agree TMB. I'm interested in this too. I believe the fella who designed it has T himself . It will be interesting to see if it takes off & to what extent it helps people.

Yes he's had it for years and it got very bad at one point , he had white noise played into the ears 8 hours a day for six months i think it said . Presumably the T then got quieter , but he wanted a method of sound therapy easy to use all the time without going through the ears or wearing headphones etc .

It's a great idea .. Do you know whether people with hearing loss can use it too? With or without their hearing aids.

I think so , i have hearing aids in for supposed hearing loss and I don't see why you couldn't also wear these . Might look like something from Doctor Who though ha ha

I don't mind - as long as it helps with the T 😆

£460 is quite a lump to fork out for something that may not work , or you wont know if they make a difference until you've paid for them . I suppose if they didn't help you could sell them on e-bay and recover a fair bit .

Don't worry. I'm not going to jump in . I'll wait & see how other people get on and read reviews etc. It's just - if I try anything this will be the one for me .

I'm still working on not covering the noise with another sound but accepting the noise as "normal" and trying to do everything in life i did before T (apart from using power tools or anything like that without ear protectors etc ) Its good to know that there are things to try or fall back on if the T should get worse down the line x
