I think the received wisdom on such things as 'cures' for tinnitus (T) is that none exist. A nasal rinse might be helpful for sinus problems or an overload of mucus, but as for helping with T, I'd say it's highly unlikely - unless the T is a direct result of blocked or inflamed sinuses, in which case a GP visit is the best starting point.

I think it wouldn't do any harm to try neti potting in strict accordance with application directions, but I'd keep any expectations realistic, i.e. expect no improvement in T.

An old tried-and-tested remedy for easing rhinitis and sinus/eustachian tube blockages is the traditional bowl of a couple of pints of steaming water, perhaps with a couple of drops of Olbas Oil (eucalyptus) added, and a towel. Hold the towel over the head and bowl and inhale the steam with deep breathing (in nose, out mouth) twice daily for 10 minutes. Don't have the water too hot and keep eyes closed if oil is added.

Good luck - and make sure you have plenty of dry towels handy!

I use a Nasal rinse a few times a week to help with the pressure (which to be fair is much better now) - It wont do anything for T but im sure it does help to clean out the tubes and make things a little more comfortable.
