My daughter has recently had her 4th miscarriage she has just got the blood results from her GP and just broke down on the reception area firstly as there were no ranges or data showing.
she has asked on her behalf to post this
She has privately paid for medicheck full blood and Royal Mail has lost the blood samples. She is on contact with tracking both with medic neck and RM
Her results are sky high. Please advise Drs appointment in two weeks

Is she still taking Levo + T3?
If so she is horribly under replaced and I'm very sorry to hear about her miscarriages.
Did she use the usual recommended protocol for dojng the blood tests?
Recommended blood test protocol: Test at 9am (or as close as possible), fasting, last levo dose 24hrs before the blood draw, last T3 dose 8-12 hours before blood draw & no biotin containing supplements for 3-7 days (Biotin can interfere with thyroid blood results as it is used in the testing process).
Testing like this gives consistency in your results and will show stable blood levels of hormone and highest TSH which varies throughout the day. Taking Levo/T3 just prior to blood draw can show a falsely elevated result and your GP/Endo might change your dose incorrectly as a result.
Is she taking any supplements, if so what?
What are her latest vitamin results - ferritin, folate, B12 & D3?
Hopefully she can get another test from Medichecks, how annoying RM lost it. Does the test include vitamins?
Thank you for your reply. Yes the same daughter who I have posted about before. She does have two beautiful children aged 14 months and 3 and 10 months. She takes selenium regularly every night. Have asked her to check the dose is 200 mcg. Vitamin D capsules are also taken. She is still breastfeeding as well. She doesn’t take t3 but takes 125 much of Levo.
The test which is lost did include the vitamins. What can she do to get the TPO down ?
TPO antibodies don't cause symptoms or issues. They are the result of the autoimmune attack on her thyroid.
Some say that going gluten free may help lower antibodies, may also help symptoms.
Free T4 (fT4) 13.1 pmol/L (11.5 - 22.7) 14.3%
Her FT4 is ridiculously low and no wonder she's miscarrying. Thats far more likely the reason as her FT3 is also likely to be correspondingly low.
Insist the GP increases Levo by 25mcgs.
Has she been getting a dose increase once she knows she's pregnant? Dose she see an Endo at that point?
200mcg is a lot of selenium to take. Its possible to take too much selenium, I'd suggest taking a break for a few weeks before recommencing 100mcg a day.
Likely her B12, folate and ferritin are low if shes not supplementing or eating enough iron rich foods.
Thank you. Medi Checks are sending out another kit for the full blood testing. Hopefully get the increase in Levo and get to see en endocrinologist.
She'll probably need a few increases over time going by her low FT4.
She should also get an increase in the first weeks of pregnancy as the body needs more thyroid hormone during pregnancy.
