hello, I have had an underactive thyroid and been on Levothyroxine 75mg since 2015. Last November I had a private blood test done as I had been struggling with lots of ‘symptoms’ and wondered if my thyroid could be the cause and it showed I have Hashimoto’s disease which I understand is an autoimmune disease. One of my symptoms has been ongoing sinus issues, sneezing, pain, worse overnight and constant and I am wondering if because my immune system is compromised could I have now developed allergies? I have a dog and wonder if dog hair is now something I am reacting to. Anyone able to help me please. Thank you. Philippa

Hashimoto advice please
75mcg is a low dose, unless you’re extremely petite
What were your results in November
Pain often low Ft3 and/or low vitamin D
Significant numbers of Hashimoto’s patients develop intolerance to dairy and gluten
If not had coeliac test request this is done as per NICE Guidelines
Also Vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
Developing allergies is a hypo thing, not specifically Hashi's. So, you probably need an increase in dose. What were the rest of your results and ranges?
I'm going to try gluten and lactose free. My partner has rescued 12 dogs. I think dust and dog hair does affect us. I did an allergy test but I don't know /cant remember if dust and dog hair were there. Im thinking to get air purifier and dehumidifier to see if it helps as we have Woodburner too. Just recently had open heart surgery and now a diagnosis of vasculitis. Started with sinus problem in 2019 which I never got rid of. Check your heart along the way. Be your own advocate as GP's and endos aren't that great in my opinion.I didnt have any problems until age 36. Noticed I felt underactive even on the meds. Bronco pneumonia 2019 long term sinus problem covid vaccinations made me worse rashes palpitations lots of stress. Now big problems. Was presenting with sinuses to Gp. They just gave nasal sprays.
Investigate now your sinuses. To be safe. That was the start of my vasculitis possibly. Dont mean to scare you just be on safe side and keep an eye.
