Slight decrease in Levo dose?

Hi everyone, would someone be so kind to look at my latest MMH bloods please. No vitamins taken previous week and last Levo 24hrs before.Test done 9am.

TSH - 0.09 (0.27 - 4.2)

T4 - 20.1 (12 - 22) 81%

T3 - 5.1 (3.1 - 6.8) 54%

This was after 7 weeks on daily dose of 135mcg(4 x days 125 and 3 x 150).Felt as well as I had for long time up until 2 weeks ago where a few symptoms have reappeared. This current TSH of 0.09 is the lowest it’s been and my T3 has dropped also.Would I benefit from dropping to 132 daily(5 x 125 and 2 x 150).The last dose I felt really well on was 125mcg quite a while back.My GP had me badly under medicated on 100mcg so I am loathe to drop that low ever again.Any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Why are you thinking that dropping your dose may be the answer when your FT3 is currently 54% of the range?

Even a small Levo increase might make all the difference, like 12.5mcgs.

Did you remember to leave 24hrs between last Levo dose and blood test & stop any biotin containing supplements 3-5 days before the test?

How are your vitamins looking?

What supplements are you taking?

Thanks for reply Jaydee.Last had vitamin d, B12, ferritin and folate tested in January(all came back in range).Currently taking vitamin d, b complex and magnesium daily. No vitamins for week before test and last Levo 24hrs before test.Ive struggled to get back to optimum dose of Levo. My GP had me at 150 daily and then reduced to 100 in one swoop.Ive been trying to get back on even keel since.Would you suggest then Jaydee I trial a slight increase and retest in 8 weeks again?

FT3 is the most important lab and yours is dropping, which is not going to help your well being.

You will not be overmedicated if FT3 stays within ref range.

TSH is not a reliable marker

thyroidpatients.ca/2021/07/...

Your T4 to T3 conversion is slightly impaired so raising T4 may help....you have room to do this.

Your body is telling you it needs an increase....returning symptoms.

It is vital to listen to our body....it will soon signal if something is wrong.

I'd suggest you return to 150mcg levo daily....it's a relatively small increase (from 4 x days 125 and 3 x 150) which could make quite a difference. Test again in 6/8 weeks.

Post new labs for advice

Good luck!
