I am looking for advice please from anyone who has specifically used Monitor My Health for blood tests, rather than other home blood test kit services.
I know that the advice on this forum in general in relation to home blood tests which have to be posted is to only do the tests on a Monday or Tuesday, in order to avoid samples sitting for days before they arrive and are tested. However, for reasons which I don't need to go into, I have needed to get my test done today (and couldn't do it yesterday or Monday) as I need my results for a consultation with Roseway Labs for next week and so I cant wait until next Monday/Tuesday to do the test.
I completed the home test this morning and have my sample ready but I haven't posted it off yet. It comes with a prepaid envelope for a 24 hour delivery service, so should arrive with monitor My Health tomorrow (Thursday) Presumably this is ok? Even if the sample doesn't get tested in the lab until Friday, presumably this is ok, in terms of the accuracy of the result? Unless someone advises me that their experience of Monitor My Health is that the sample took more than two days before it was tested, I will post off the sample today. Equally, if the consensus is that this would be unwise then I will not bother to send it off and I will contact them and ask them to post me another test kit and I will do the test next week (which will mean that I wont have the results in time for my consultation with Roseway labs next week).
Hope this makes sense. Brain fog!
Many thanks in advance for any help.

The Tracked 24 hour service does not guarantee that it will get there next day, it may or it may not. The best thing you can do is take a trip to the post office and purchase Special Delivery Guaranteed Next Day by 1pm, this will of course cost you extra but it's the only way to guarantee it will get there without delay.
Remember to get the receipt as this will have the tracking number on and you will be able to check if it's arrived tomorrow morning by visiting RM's track and trace page. If it doesn't arrive by 1pm tomorrow then you can claim your fee back.
I just wanted to say thank you very much for your reply to my post and for your help. I really appreciate it. Sorry for the delayed reply - I'm struggling to keep my head above water at the moment!
My experience with MMH has always been excellent. Using the provided delivery envelope it's always arrived at the lab the next day, and the lab has tested it that same day. I have once posted on a Wednesday in their standard envelope and it arrived and was tested on the Thursday.
I have a local Priority Mail Box within walking distance, so always take it there, as soon as I can. I think I would be less trusting of it arriving as quickly from an ordinary mail box, or even from a post office.
I agree with SeasideSusie though, that given the urgency, it may be best to fork out for the Guaranteed Next Day by 1pm service if you want to be able to track it and be sure it arrives asap.
Thanks so much for your reply, which was so helpful. Believe it or not I wasn't aware of Priority mail boxes until your message and the knowledge came in very handy for sending off my test. I posted it on Wednesday and had the results back the following evening!
Many thanks once again and apologies for my delayed reply.
The only thing I do know is that it should be posted before the last post of the day (these can vary from those advertised by an 1 hour) using a priority box on the same day the sample is taken.
Apart from the initial test kit, which never gets to my address in a decent time frame for reasons they cannot explain...I have found MMH really reliable as far as testing and once sent a kit off on a Thursday via post office and got results on the Friday evening. I was well impressed.
Sincere apologies for my delayed reply to you message. I really appreciate you having taken the time to respond to my post. Your reply, together with the others, gave me the confidence to post the test off last Wednesday and, like you, I had the results back by the following evening. Like you said, MMH are impressive!
