Hi!

Has anyone benefited from taking Nutrafol... a supplement?!?!

It helps w hair!

And, does anyone have a fish oil supplement to recommend?

Nutrafol, at least the version I looked at, contains a substantial amount of iodine - 225 micrograms. I certainly wouldn't want to take that as iodine has to be considered very carefully in those with thyroid issues.

It also contains quite a bit of biotin. The issue here is that biotin can interfere with many blood tests - thyroid and others. That would be fine but you would need to lay off it for a few days before any blood tests.

You are the best!

That is why I asked! Will stick w Biotin in Thorne Basic B unless you have a better idea.

Thanks to you... & others.. I am happily on 50 mcg T3 only & feel markedly better... as I once did years ago... before all the headaches & weight gain w T4 only.

Re the fish oil, it depends if you want to increase your EPA or both EPA and DHA. I'm presently taking vegEPA, as it has a high level of EPA and claims to be purified of all contaminants (something to consider when looking at other fish oils). However, once my EPA level is better, I may resume the vegan algae omega 3 oil which I normally take (Together Health or Testa). These have a balanced blend of EPA and DHA. Again, I choose this type because it's free of contaminants e.g. heavy metals.
