My mum was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism 6 months ago on a T4 test
TSH - 4.22 (sorry no range)
T4 10.7 (12-22)
She is currently on 25mcg levo per day. Her Hypothyroidism is not managed at all. Whilst she responded well initially, her symptoms are now getting progressively worse, fatigue, weak and wobbly (especially in the mornings), severe brain fog, no energy to do anything etc. Other than being Hypo, she has always been well and active and very fit. I have tried desperately to get local GP's to take T4 and T3 blood test, they have refused. Ordered a test online and results from last week are:
Biochemistry
Magnesium 0.94 0.66 - 0.99 mmol/L
Hormones
Cortisol (Random) 366.0 6am - 10am 166 - 507 nmol/L New range 4pm - 8pm 73.8 - 291
Thyroid Function
TSH 2.67 0.27 - 4.20 mU/L New range & unit
Free T4 14.7 12.0 - 22.0 pmol/L
Free T3 3.71 3.1 - 6.8 pmol/L New range
I worked out her T3 range at she is at 16.5%
She has been referred to an Endo, but that was 5 months ago and I call the secretary weekly with no luck, so I am going to see my old private Endo with her, but any advice in the meantime would be most gratefully received.
Thank you

Poor Mum. Have you tried getting her GP to increase her dose? Maybe make an appointment and go with her to advocate on her behalf?
Why has she been referred to an Endo?
She really needs to get her vitamins tested - ferritin, folate, B12 & D3. Will GP do this or perhaps you can do private tests. Highly likely she is low on several nutrients.
Did her antibodies get tested? Thats another thing to test.
Thanks Jaydee. I emailed the GP three times asking them to review and take the appropriate blood tests etc., but they just would not do it. I think they referred her to get rid of me! They refused to do the tests even though she was diagnosed on T4. I live 2.5 hours drive so it is frustrating, but I really can't wait any longer for the NHS Endo, plus the secretary told me that they don't prescribe T3 in the Stourbridge area (where she lives), so it is much worse than it is here in Yorkshire! It's very hard to see her deteriorate and have no quality of life currently knowing that she just needs the correct dose...
