Hello,

I'm on a boat load of supplements for various things and sometimes think about what my non negotiables would be 🤔

I'm aware all our bodies have different needs but I'm curious to know the staple supplements you folks would have a hard time giving up ???

Mine:

Heme iron and iron bisglycinate

B complex

Dgl

Ashwagandha

Valerian root

Magnesium glycinate

D3 and K2

🤣🤣🤣 Loved the picture!

B-Complex, D3, Vit C, Selenium - still trying things out but trying hard to get most vitamins from food.

I saw it on the sibo fb group I'm in a few months ago and couldn't help but save it. It came in handy today ;)

Hope all is well with you and thanks for participating. I've taken selenium supplement daily for a few yrs but stopped this month because I had to prioritize what I bought. I'll reassess a month from now God willingly on how its absence impacts me.

I LOVE that pic, where do I order such a backpack? 💕🤣

I attach todays Amazon delivery of plastic that has changed my world

For me it’s D3&K2, Magnesium Glycinate, Thorne basic B Complex that are my keepers.

Selenium just gone from 200mcg a day to 200mcg a week. Split 4x50mcg and 3 days none.

Zinc makes me a bit loose so again splitting across the week. Or not taking depending on my mood… should save up and get these tested.

L-Glutamine, NAC I won’t re-order when these run out. They have been marvellous for leaky gut improvements.

Just started heme iron Optifer as liver alone not raising ferritin (fibroids)

Just returned Igennus B Complex because it wasn’t doing its job.

Past winners, black seed oil, S Boulardii

Things taking up space in the drawer, mastic gum capsules, iodine (for first aid more than supplement), Vit C (I appear to be at tolerance).

Pill dispenser

Your new pill dispenser is a WINNER. Luv that it's cute and functional. I hope the optifera helps you as much as it has helped me. I take 3 pills a day plus a iron bisglycinate supplement.

If I take a pic of the supplements that didn't work and are taking up space you would be mortified. ..lol

I might give l glutamine another go. I purchased it last year and couldn't tolerate it back then. Thnxs for reminding me.

Absolutely appreciate your response and a gold 🌟 for adding a picture

One of the "good" doctors felt that with autoimmune thyroiditis the detoxification is impaired. He thought that NAC would support my kidneys and liver. NAC is used in hospitals to support detox in the case of paracetamol overdose. But there are other reasons I heard of, such as help with "leaky gut". I attach a link with some info: healthline.com/nutrition/na...

Love the picture :D

Forgot to mention Magnesium (which needs to go with D and K).

Never knew NAC was used at hospitals to support paracetamol overdose. Thnxs for sharing. I love that I'm continuously learning about something on this forum.

It's been on my radar since covid began. I havent tried it because I read that its acidic and can irritate the stomach. Since I've been dealing with gastritis on and off, it's a NO NO for now but God willingly in the future I might try it.

Thank you for your response and the link.

hello Buddy99 and Imaan

Do you have to take vitamin C with NAC or is it ok to take alone ? I saw a post on here a while ago suggesting kidneys can be affected if taken without vit C?

Thanks.

Polly, I had not heard of this. Thanks for mentioning that NAC needs to be taken with vitamin C. I will look into it further. I did a quick search and did not find anything so far. My hope would be that I get enough vitamin C in my diet. Nothing ever seems to be as clear cut as one would wish. Sigh!

Polly, I havent started the NAC as of yet nor am I aware that it needs to be taken with vit c. I'll have to research it out, thnxs for the heads up.

I take Vitamin C, D and Feriva (a multivitamin nutritional supplement). They help me to maintain my health in a good condition. I usually get them from canadapharmacy.com/ as they provide good service and cheap prices.
