Over the last few months I have gradually increased my meds to the same amount I was on previously 125mcg t4 and 12.5mcg t3 (before I became complacent about taken meds due to being unwell).
My recent blood test results still show very low levels of both t3 and t4. When I was on this amount before my levels were perfect and I felt good. Both tests were done under the same conditions and meds taken at similar times.
Tristy the body and all its knock on effects needs time to adjust to changes in hormone levels particularly if you have been unwell.Last time when you built up to your ideal doses and levels things gradually adapted and you found your sweet spot. It will take time for your body to do the same again. The body does not like disruption.
It also could be that, like many things, your body has changed and you will need to take time to find new ideal doses and levels . Only time will tell.
Thanks for your reply. The reason I am not wanting to increase my T3 at the moment is because I don’t want to disrupt my body if I don’t have to. I feel very ill on and off and am trying to stabilise things for the moment. This could just be a bug so I realise that this may not be the right way forward though.
I'm so sorry you're experiencing that! How unsettling 😔 I think I'd definitely test out a raise as it might be that you need one and this is why you feel horrible again, esp. from those bloods. I hope you start to feel better soon!
