I've just used the calcium calculator and I probably get around 200mg a week! 🙄
Can't really see a good way to raise my dietary intake... so many restrictions no dairy, nightshades, legumes, eggs, restricted meat, gluten and certain fruit and veg, histamine intolerance.... you know the story!
Daily recommended is 1200mg 😱
I really don't want to take any more pills

I think it would be prudent to test as then you will know if you need to supplement and it will guide you as to how much. Better that than take too much and the calcium be deposited in the wrong place (Vit K2-mk7 directs calcium to bones and teeth amd away from soft tissues).
I'm 54, is there a trigger point for the NHS to do a bone density test do you know?
I don't know of any personally, I've never been offered one, despite being over 70 with suppressed TSH for over 20 years and my GP constantly telling me I'm overmedicated 🤷♀️. I'm just waiting for the day for her to tell me I risk osteoporosis then I'll suggest she sends me for a Dexa scan.
Yes I have threatened the dogs that I will be sharing their sardines 😁but I struggle with histamine and haven't been brave enough to try them yet.... need to eat really fresh meat and fish, so I'm not sure how tinned sardines are going to affect me?
