Why not buy from a UK supplier. With iherb you can get free shipping if you spend over £30 and there's the wait for it to be delivered from the US.

BigVits here in the UK have it for £16.20, 10% off for first order and £1.95 delivery:

(No, I don't work for BigVits 😊)

Hi I did look at that one but it said use by date is nearly there so need to be used quickly 🤔

You're having B12 jabs.

Ordered B Complex.

Have selenium.

Taking D3 - are you also taking magnesium and Vit K2-mk7 as important cofactors of D3?

Did you discuss iron with your GP as I suggested and you are having iron prescribed?

in reply to SeasideSusie

In my d3 is k2 mk7 no I'm not taking magnesium I eat nuts quite a bit but if you can let me know best magnesium to buy strength etc I'll buy it might as well really appreciate your help I'm taking iron tablets twice a day I'm sure I'm low

Nobody can tell you which form of magnesium you need, there are different forms which help with different things. So you have to decide yourself which is best for you :

naturalnews.com/046401_magn...

Magnesium helps the body convert D3 into it's usable form.

As iron is complicated there is nothing I can add to the response I wrote in reply to your recent post with your iron results here:

in reply to SeasideSusie

Thank You you have been very helpful I might try getting back to force myself to eat liver

in reply to SeasideSusie

My Gp said your iron levels are normal but with my diet not consuming much iron foods I don't eat meat and my diet had been poor for quite a while

in reply to SeasideSusie

I've used iherb and found them to be pretty efficient when ordering and receiving my vitamins.

I have ordered from iHerb before for my daughter. It’s very efficient and quick. I will order from there again.

I order from iherb sometimes, there seems to be a 15% off at the moment and it can work out cheaper

The only time I ordered from iherb, I had to pay import duty.

I had niacin flush from using Jarrows B complex....good stuff and I liked the fact that it contains folate rather than folic acid.....but had to stop taking it because of the alarming flush reaction. Would in general go for a British firm where possible.

There are a few members who have said they didn't get on with Jarrows B Right so it's not one I suggest, I tend to suggest Thorne Basic B and I don't think anyone has reported a problem with that brand.

SarahJane1471 , Hidden , elsa142 Sorry SS, I have to report that both my husband and I (I sound like the Queen 😀) have had weird side effects from Thorne Basic B as has SarahJane. In fact, I’ve been instructed by “he who must be obeyed” to chuck the B things out 😂

in reply to Gingernut44

I did too glad you said it that's why I was looking for another Brand I thought Jarrows but I hear others had effects from them we are all different though but I did feel a bit iffy on Thorne basic b

I got on fine with Igennus Super B Complex, no adverse reaction then it was revealed that, as it contained Vit C, it was no good 😱 it certainly brought my Vit B and folate up. SeasideSusie , can you please point me in the direction of the research which states Vit C should be taken at least 2 hours from Vit B.

in reply to Gingernut44

I too felt good on Igennes was on them for ages but after being advised on here

can you please point me in the direction of the research which states Vit C should be taken at least 2 hours from Vit B.

Just to be clear it's 2 hours between B12 and Vit C and it's from the following article:

webmd.com/vitamins-and-supp...

When to Take Water-Soluble Vitamins

If you also use vitamin C, put 2 hours between them. Vitamin C can keep your body from using B12.

Gingernut44 profile image
Gingernut44 in reply to SeasideSusie

Thanks for the link. I don’t actually take Vit C at the moment, it’s the 160 mg of Vit C contained in the Igennus B complex. If it only affects the Vit B12 element, then perhaps a separate B12 supplement, at least two hours away from Igennus would do the trick.

I suppose that would depend on what your B12 level is. If it's at a good level now whilst taking the Igennus there's no need to take a separate B12.

Gingernut44 profile image

So now I’m totally confused as my B12 (and folate) rose quite significantly on Igennus but if the body isn’t going to make use of it 😱 …..

Serum tests can't tell us what's getting into the cells, so we just don't know.

in reply to SeasideSusie

So being as I have b12 injections and as I dont absorb b12 in food or supplements will it matter? Can I go back to Ingennes? Hope I make sense??

SeasideSusie profile image
SeasideSusieRemembering in reply to

Your B12 injections are taking care of your B12 level so whatever is in the Igennus supplement is really neither here or there. However, if you get symptoms between your injections and could do with either more regular injections or a top up then taking extra B12 would help. You need a B Complex to keep all the B vitamins balanced when taking B12 in any form.

in reply to SeasideSusie

So I can go back to igennes then ? I have my own b12 ampoules here I did like that brand

SeasideSusie profile image
SeasideSusieRemembering in reply to

No reason not to as you're getting your B12 from your injections.

in reply to SeasideSusie

That's great I'll go buy those much easier knowing I did OK on them Thank You SeaSide Susie
