Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally before 9am last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
On T3 or NDT - day before test split daily dose into 3 smaller doses, spread through the day at approx 8 hour intervals, taking last 1/3rd of daily dose 8-12 hours before test
Is this how you did your test
No need to fast for 12 hours
Just eat as normal evening before
On morning of test …..just drink water, test as early as possible, ideally before 9am
Take levothyroxine immediately after blood test, then wait at least an hour for breakfast
This is telling you that your result is less than 1.0 and I imagine that the testing equipment may not measure less than 1.0 which is rather strange when you see that that range goes from 0.0 to 0.9 so between those numbers is a negative result for antibodies but 1.0 and above is positive for antibodies. It would be much more helpful to have an actual result then you would be able to see whether your level is close to the low end or closer to the higher end and if very close to the higher end would suggest keeping an eye on them to see if they tip over into a positive result at some time.
5. What vitamin is best for iron ? I feel taking iron pill will help. With vitamin c?
Ferritin —- 73 (15 to 150)
Your ferritin result doesn't suggest iron deficiency.
Before considering iron tablets you should do an iron panel to include Serum Iron, Transferrin Saturation Percentage, Total Iron Binding Capacity as well as ferritin. Iron tests should be done after a 12 hour fast (water allowed). If you already have good serum iron and saturation levels then taking iron tablets will most likely take these too high and too much iron is toxic.
You can help raise your level by eating liver regularly, maximum 200g per week due to it's high Vit A content, also liver pate, black pudding, and including lots of iron rich foods in your diet
Those are the actual results from labcor I have them done and they look exactly like her results every time and Endo never questions it. I always thought it looked odd.
