I know from here that multi vitamins are generally no good I wondered what the experts think to these Alive woman’s energy vitamins please? I currently take vitamins D, K, C, magnesium and selenium, but wouldn’t mind trying something for an extra energy boost!

In addition to the photo, they also contain the following:-

Lutein

Molybdenum

Fruit/vegetable powders and

botanicals blend

Zinc

Iron

Vitamin E

Multivitamins tend to contain the cheapest and least absorbable forms of active ingredients, often the wrong form. They usually contain too little of anything to help improve low levels or deficiencies. This supplement is no better.

Some combinations shouldn't be taken at the same time. In those tablets

Vit C can keep the body from using B12.

Zinc affects copper absorption.

They also often contain things we should test first and only supplement if found to be deficiency, iodine, iron. Iodine used to be a treatment for hyperthyroidism .

Also iron affects the absorption of everything else as iron needs to be taken 2 hours away from other supplements.

Test B12, folate and ferritin and come back with new post once you get results

Test vitamin D twice year when supplementing
