Good Morning

Please could i have some advice my thyriod levels, I have no thyriod, removed this year. should I be taking T3? ( Is 3.2) Not sure it prescribed on the NHS

Also my calcium (2.35) and reverse calcium. (2.27) Vitamin D (85)

My THS Level was 0.03 Rising to 0.06 than most recent 0.09.

Levo reduced from 100mcg to 75mcg

Have an appointment with surgeaon soon.

I'm concerned they are all on the lowside.

Any advice appreciated.

Hi Ness21.... I had radioactive iodine on my thyroid and have Hashimotos so I have no thyroid either. Compared to my readings I just posted, yours DO seem low but I am no expert. Someone will be jumping on soon with far more expertise to reply to you :-)

How much do you weigh in kilo approx

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

When were folate, ferritin and B12 last tested

All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning before eating or drinking anything other than water and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

Which brand

Please add actual results and ranges for

TSH

Results:

Weight 82kg

THS 0.09 (R) 0.35 - 4.9 MU/L

FT4 15.5 PMOL/L (R) 9-19

FT3 3.2 PMOL/L (R) 2.6-5.7pmol/L

Vitimin D 85NMOL/L (R) 71-200

RDW 11.4% CV (R) 11.6-14%CV

I don't know what RDW relates to it was shown as out of range on my results.

Levothyroxine 75mcg a day.

I was taking Centrum for women and Omega3 for many years. I stopped taking after the operation ,tried to reintroduce them, however they made me feel ill, with headache. my THS was at 0.06 at this point.

Before surgery I had chronic thyrotoxicosis and a large groiter.

I read as I don't have a thyriod I should be prescribed a T3/T4 combination. I'm not sure it's avaliable on the NHS?

My first prescription was Teva brand the next was a different brand, I was told it dosent make any difference.

However now taking 75mcg Teva, stomach pains, nuseua have gone. TEVA dosent have any lactose which suits me better.

Thankyou for your reply any advice welcome.
