Just a quick thank you to everyone for the knowledge you discuss and share. As a result of being a member of this group I found out about the link between acid reflux and gluten. I took positive action and have gone strictly gluten free- four weeks in I’m off the omeprazole and acid reflux free. I’m also free of bloating, less trouble with constipation (although this is in combination with a daily walk). Still a bit tired, but I think I may have adrenal fatigue into the mix. I spent 10 years as a carer for my parents whilst helping my hubby (when I could- he bore the brunt) in our guest house. I’ll never get back to where my health was, but thanks to this forum I’m better informed and on the road to a better place.

Thank you 😊

That's good that you are so positive and I'm sure you will improve with the advice. So many members know far more than the professionals, fortunately, otherwise we would be nowhere near improving our health.

If you would like to join Thyroiduk.org.uk who are the ones behind the scene (being started by Lyn Mynott in her garden shed and there is an extremely small staff).

She (and we - the members) are trying to change the attitudes of the medical professionals about dysfunctions of hypothyroidism .

There would be no forum if she wasn't behind the scenes.

Hey there Charlie-Farley

You could go on step further and arrange full thyroid blood panel just to see where you are :

the adrenals work with thyroid, and tend to pick up the slack when the thyroid is struggling :

Ideally we need to see TSH, T3, T4, antibodies, inflammation and ferritin, folate B12 and vitamin D to draw any conclusions as to anything " thyroid " :

If your doctor isn't able to undertake this for you there are several private companies listed on the Thyroid uk website who can organise this " thyroid bundle " blood test for you : once with the results simply put up on here, the results and ranges and forum members can then read and explain everything back to you .

it's just another step to getting back to where you were and would like to be, like all of us :

Would you believe I actually did it. I’ve been taking it all in between the brain fog 😂 I got a Blue horizon test done and I’ve just got the results back tonight. I’m a green horn re interpretation so I’m popping them on a fresh post so I’d appreciate you more knowledgeable members to give me an opinion 😊👍
