I posted these results the other day in order to ask whether it was worth pursuing a trial of T3 since the conversion from T4 to T3 doesn't look great (FT3 isn't even in the middle of the range) but didn't get a response re: medication specifically.
I'd like to see what happens if you up your T4 by say 25-50mcg. Does the FT4 go up significantly, and does the FT3 also go up or does it stay as it is. If the latter then obviously your body is incapable of making any more T3 from any amount of T4, so that if you feel the need for change, a bit of T3 might be useful.
I did what Diogenes suggests - taking enough T4 to get FT4 (free thyroxin) results above range to see whether the FT3 got to at least halfway in range. It didn't so added T3, bought privately. Thought CCGs had largely stopped even endocrinologists giving new T3 prescriptions, - go DIY?
I have a really good GP who is at least willing to try a T3 trial I think. Reality may be that I have to get a private prescription from her so I can source it from a Euro pharmacy but we'll see.
Thanks for your account , gives me more confidence to pursue it .
