Ok I'm trying to work out (with my limited knowledge) is a fluctuation of 120 TPA's (mostly going down) a big deal? I've been slowly going down although at worst I was only 433 and over the last 2 years it's down to 279, been on carb (separate post) but I've also been drinking Thyme tea had acupuncture and seen herbal practitioner for Graves support, as well as on 20mg carb and reducing so basically trying everything to stop the little thugs!!

Best wishes x

What do you mean by "a fluctuation of 120 TPA's"

Are you talking about thyroid antibodies of some kind?

Can you type in the information you've been given exactly.

If you are talking about antibodies, then the number going down is a good thing, not a bad thing. The lower the better, in fact!

Yes sorry thyroid antibodies aka hashimotos

I've kept a record of my results and they are slowly coming down, I've been on carb but did a separate post to ask if that would help but it wouldn't, I have gone GF and being doing other things which have clearly been helping, I just don't know if a drop of 120 is a drop as opposed to a fluctuation do to a Hassi's flare up

I'm afraid there is no way of knowing if a drop in antibody numbers is a drop or a fluctuation. Only time and repeated testing will tell you if the drop will be sustained.

Graves antibodies don't disappear, but the other antibodies - TPO and Tg antibodies - can reduce in numbers with dietary changes.

If you go to this link : labtestsonline.org.uk/tests...

then go down to the Common Questions section

then click on each + sign in turn you will get more info on the different kinds of antibodies that can affect the thyroid.
