Csj, Although your TSH and FT3 are in range, your TSH is high enough to make you feel unwell and your FT3 is low. Ask for another thyroid test in 3 months and make sure you have it as early as possible in the morning when TSH is highest.
Your vitD is sufficient and needs to be in the high end of range 75-100. Try 1,000-2,000iu vitD3 daily softgel caps. You should take magnesium with with vitD3 and zinc with magnesium as they're synergistic and need to be kept balance. Magnesium citrate or chloride is better absorbed than magnesium oxide.
Your B12 doesn't look to be deficient but it wouldn't hurt to supplement 1,000mcg methylcobalamin daily until it is high in range. Was your ferritin tested?
Is that serum ferritin? If so yes it's there 71ug/l (10.00-160.00ug/l)
The receptionist said my vit D was fantastic and given id come back from Mexico 8 weeks ago that was to be expected...
Thank you for your advice, I will source some tablets
csj-336 looking at your Vit D result, and knowing Clutter's knowledge, definitely don't accept that your result is fantastic splutter splutter splutter. It is important to be over 75. The receptionist is somewhat of a liability I think!
Definitely not fantastic. Experts like Michael Holick reckon our Vit D levels should be above 100nmol/l for optimum health. Wonder how low your levels were before you went to Brazil!
Receptionists generally don't have doctorates for a reason.
I don't know why they feel they can comment tbh :/
See thhealthunlocked.com/thyroidu... references to iodine.
Yesterday the receptionist felt able to comment that my zinc level was normal (diagnosis?) but when I asked for the actual figures, said she couldn't say as she wasn't medically qualified. Through gritted teeth I said "just read them out to me".
Thank you
Thank you, interesting reading.
I used to nanny for a GP, I'm meeting with her so she can look at my results as a second opinion.
I'm going to buy some vit d and b12 etc and hopefully it helps as I feel terrible today shaky and dizzy
