pain in right side is this ibs related

Hi for 12 weeks now I have had a constant pain in my right side almost like a stitch it seems to be getting worse. When I try to lye on my right side it wakes me up is this ibs related ?

Hi, it could be. My pain is always located on the right side near my pelvis. Best to discuss it with your GP.

HI Zita, It certainly sounds like it is. All my pain is near my pelvis area. Sometimes it can go up to under my ribs.

Yes I have this too, nothing seems to help it go away. I also always feel full of gas and tightness.

I have this but it's intermittent. Check with gp , could also be linked to arthritis in hip if you are prone to that.

Is it in the area just above your waist? I get it there all of the time.

If it's upper right it could be your gall bladder

Yep i have just been diagnosed with gallstones waiting for a hospital appt to arrange for surgery.

Any new symptoms should really be discussed with your GP - best not to assume it is related to IBS, but it could be - only a doctor can help with that.

Get your gall bladder checked. Because if that's what it is, it could become a serious medical emergency.
