advice please! I read that fybogel can help bull up diarrhoea; yet I also read that taking fybogel for more than a few days can cause diarrhoea that can last a long time. Which is correct? Doc put me on laxido and fybogel to get regularity but I’ve stopped laxido due to persistent looseness, but at present keeping on with fybogel for above reasons. But still too frequent and loose. Can anyone advise?

I've been on fybogel for about 6months forIBSC took about 2weeks to settle but most of the time it keeps me on an even keel.
I took half a sachet of Fibogel and was on the toilet all day the following day! Obviously doesn’t agree with everyone, which is why there are so many products on the market - there’s no “one size fits all” solution. If the IBS-D isn’t too bad, then you might as well stick to it, or reduce the dose accordingly. Otherwise you might try looking at another potential solution, such as Alflorex, which has settled mine down but not resolved it completely.
