Hi all, my husband is supporting me in my search for help with my IBS Symptoms through involvement in a UK wide exercise jointly funded by the GUTS UK Charity and British Society of Gastroenterology, to identify where future IBS research should be focused and specifically what the key research questions are that need to be answered?
The team have produced a simple questionnaire that they would like as many people as possible with any involvement in IBS to complete, to help prioritise where research effort should most effectively be focused in the future.
Please either complete the questionnaire at this link
We would be really grateful if as many of you as possible could take part, you basically need to identify 4 questions about IBS you would like answered by Research.
Many thanks
Maureen

Just completed the questionnaire. I think what I need as much as answers to questions, is more funding to provide many more NHS bowel clinics across the UK offering practical help from trained bowel specialist nurses/counsellors to help IBS sufferers in a personal way, including hypnotherapy, help with anxiety and biofeedback to help ensure people know how to empty their bowels properly and easily. We need to understand the gut/brain function better because we're stuck in a negative feedback loop of pain, anxiety and dysfunctional bowels.
