Morning all , I notice on here most people have dioreah. I'm the opposite, I go to the toilet then leak feces throughout the day , I don't go out much because of this.i had the camera but apparently the guy could not carry on as my *stigmoid* was narrowing so he said to have a colonoscopy and scan. I did 2weeks ago and am awaiting results. I'm sure if it was anything naughty I would have heard by now. Any one else had this, oh and my stomach is bloated so I look pregnant.

I have had very similar went to colon consultant. Turned out muscles very weak . Did pelvic floor exercise. Limit salad, green veg and fruit just in moderation. I would go back as if muscle weak they can operate and other things they can do. Good luck
I have IBS-C (constipation dominant) due to a long loopy colon which means I have slow gut transit. If I get backed up (i.e. not cleared out), I end up leaking mucus and what they call overflow, which is liquid stool having no where to go due to the compaction and then it leaks around the sides which causes urgency and accidents sometimes (and leaves me tied to the house). I take Magnesium Oxide on an empty stomach at night (you have to start low and find the dose right for you), though I'd rather be able to go from a fibrous diet (though this can cause me pain and bloating - I am experimenting at the moment and have medication to help with the pain).
In terms of the bloating backed up stool could cause this since gases may be getting trapped. If you get a diagnosis and find something to help with the constipation and you are still getting bloated you can ask to be referred to a dietitian to take you through the fodmap diet to find out if you have any food intolerances (though low fodmap foods can be less fibrous which might exacerbate constipation). If your bloating goes down you could try increasing fibre in your diet to see if that helps - though you'd need a proper diagnosis to find out which way to go. Good luck.
