Hi There, dont know if this will help you or not but my daughter in law suggested I eat gluten free foods for a while and it definately seemed to help my IBS. I did now and then eat normally if was out anywhere but still stick to Gluten free most of the time when I am at home. Good luck hope this helps.

Get some Acidophilus tablets from Holland & Barrett. .They contain billions of friendly bacteria that help our guts..I've been taking 2 of the chewable type, daily for 3 weeks and my flare up, which started in October, has calmed right down...I'm practically back to normal and eating what I like..Also taking Sunsweet pure Prune juice daily to keep things in order.

Just so you know, Yakult actually has virtually no lactose in it. Might be worth a try, and see how you react:)

Hiya. I agree with Jacey62. I've had digestive issues most of my life and recently found out I was intolerant to eggs, milk, wheat, gluten and a few other things. Cutting out all those food types made me feel great for a good while but I recently had another flare up (not sure why but maybe stress related). I bought the vegan probiotic Acidophillus from Holland & Barrett (they do a 20 billion friendly bacteria version to start and also a lower dose of 2 billion to maintain good gut health once you have been on them for a while). I also drink peppermint tea in the morning and things are definitely better for me (no longer on Immodium - yay!) Give it a try, you have nothing to lose! 😃
