I am new here! I have recently been diagnosed with IBS, after a year of going back and forth to the doctors, I finally saw someone last night who was willing to help me! I am okay in the mornings but in the afternoons usually around 3pm I get terrible bloating and wind.
I have been prescribed Molaxole and Mebeverine to help, but I really need some advice to help with regards to the bloating? I have bought some peppermint capsules to see if this helps, and I have Windeeze tablets and Buscopan in my drawer to help. Are there any other little tips which you could give me?
I know diet is key to this too. I have already cut a lot of foods out of my diet, and am going to fully commit to a low FODMAP diet and see if this can help me try get this under control!
Thanks!

I find swapping ordinary tea to peppermint tea really helps. I avoid wheat. Trying to walk after meals definitely reduces my bloating, fennel capsules help as well. Put bloating into the search tab on here and you will get lots of tips. X
Have you had a gastroscopy and/or colonoscopy tp diagnose ?
Yes, sounds like you are doing the right things. Personally speaking Mebeverine on its own didn't help with the cramps and bloating but when peppermint oil was added to the mix it made a significant difference almost immediately. That's not to say I don't still have any number of other symptoms but this is definitely a condition that requires patience! Good luck.
