Trying to be hopeful
My consultant says the side effects are not as severe as chemo and won’t make me feel sick although I have read that nausea is a side effect of Ceritinib (
Zykadia
). It does scare me as I had such a dark time going through chemo I know I couldn’t handle feeling that awful again.

After 27 months he had too low of a heart rate and the was switched to
zykadia
which he has been for the past 27 months. Wehave used Patient Acces Network, Good days and now Novartis Patient Assistance Foundation for assistance in paying for these medicines after the insurance.

Non small cell adenoma carcinoma
I started off with carboplatin and alimta for 2 months, then switched to Xalkori for 7 months,
Zykadia
for 5 months and then back on Alimta every 3 weeks for a year. After all that, my cancer was inactive and only scar tissue showed wherever my cancer was.
