BOTOX
I was, I guess, addicted to
Zomig
(2.5
Rapimelt
) as I have been taking up to around 21 a month ever since triptans were first prescribed to me, which must be over 20 years ago now. Only one of the Botox jabs was rather painful and the treatment was over very quickly.

Transformed Migraine
I've seen a couple of posts/questions mentioning Transformed Migraine, so thought I'd relate my experiences as I'm having a rare clear-headed day today! I started having migraines just after my 20th birthday and that's now 43 years ago. At first I had episodic migraines, lasting up to three days with

Migraine - Anybody tried Zomig nasal spray?
I know we're all different but has anybody tried Zomig nasal spray - how did you get on with it? I don't tolerate any meds well - let alone the migraine meds - triptans don't agree (Imigran) knocks me out - however, thought I'd give one last try with Zomig.

Changing triptans
I've been taking triptans for frequent migraines more or less since they became available in the UK. It was Imigran at first, but when Zomig came along I changed to that and a single 2.5 mg wafer is usually pretty effective at clearing a headache/migraine within two to three hours. However, I do take

GONI didn't really work
I finally had my phone follow-up on 22 May after having the GON injections of local anaesthetic only (no steroid) on both sides of my head on 11 February. My neurologist was disappointed to hear that it hadn't really reduced the frequency of my headaches and migraines, though I told him I had not had

Sumatriptan(Immigran)
I use triptans fairly successfully to treat migraine. I have to rotate them after about 9months as the current one becomes less effective, Also I prefer a triptan that works before it reaches the stomach( so not in tablet form). The last 2 I have used are Maxalt and Zomig. All I can think of asking doc

Try Botox or not to try Botox that is the question
I have recently posted about my positive experience with Cymbalta. I am an aesthetic nurse so I have easy access to Botox treatments. It is my experience that Botox actually caused in increase in migraine for me particularly in the 2 or 3 weeks after treatment that do not respond to my first dose

at last some thing that works for me!
Having suffered from migraine for 20 years and tried every preventative in use in the UK from propanolol to topimax! After reading an American article I begged my GP to prescribe Cymbalta 60mgs. The change is amazing! aside from some insomnia and evening restless irritability for 2 weeks there have
