I am 69 and have always walked the dog every day, exercised every day (Pilates,
yoga
, running, swimming, ballet, tap) and was a trapeze artist betweeen the ages of 50 and 61. I have never smoked, drunk alcohol or had a sweet tooth and have always eaten a heart healthy diet.

Exercise and AF
Iâve started
yoga
which I love. Any other exercise people can recommend or any advice on how people cope with exercise and weight loss whilst thinking about AF episodes.

GCA symptoms after one year of discontinuing prednisone
Last month I started to get temporary vision losses ( due to bending over in
Yoga
). My neuro opthamologist said eyes looked good, and that positional vision loss might not be GCA. He asked for a carotid ultrasound which was negative.

ï»żAn evening 5k run with unwelcome tag alongs! đĄđĄđĄ
I'm not usually an evening runner, preferring early morning runs, but tonight I was feeling brave and after a warm up
yoga
sesh, set off for a gentle 5k. It was a run I was really enjoying, until the last half a mile when three teenagers thought it would be hilarious to run alongside me.

Do you know your 12 cranial nerves? Let's start with the facial...
In the world of
yoga
, trauma healing and somatic embodiment, I would have thought it was the vagus nerve (the 10th cranial nerve) given how much press it gets. Not so. Ploughing through the many functions and branching anatomy of the facial nerve recently, its wonder is vast!

CATCH-up-CORNER... JANUARY 2023...WEEK 2... Slip off your running shoes, come in inside. Everyone is Welcome.
The delights of Adriene's
Yoga
Journey for 30 days of January, linked with RED January... are helping me , slowly and ever so steadily to find my way back to full snail power. ( It's going to take a while). This finds me in an enviable position.

June Quest: Letâs wrap it up. đđ
. đ€ As for me, Iâve succeeded in getting back to daily
yoga
, having had a few months of very sporadic practicing for one reason or another. My running ticks away happily; no heroics, just having fun at PR at the weekends and dallying with Coach Bennett and his cohorts during the week.

Stage 3, day 13 đ
Do the
yoga
-type stretches after the run. Non-run days - add some extra
yoga
poses before I attempt the stretches. Try out when the jumps fit best (before, after or at a different time). Have you got started on Stage 3 yet? How are you finding it? Let us know below đ

Pegs, calf-strain mysteries and thanks
Nothing works,
yoga
, changes of shoes, different gait, stretches, strengthening, physio, even use of our new massage gun. (Although he is the first to admit, there is much more to explore adopting regular S&F! He even popped into the Forum recently!

Week 5 run 3
Just completed the 20 min run on my familiar trail path - using the benefits of being retired to run in the morning and do some classes - like strength and
yoga
during the week - hope to keep up improving my fitness as I get older. C25K is a great app.

Running again!
I am 67, do
yoga
each day but had stopped running over the last year so I am going to do C25k again in preparation for a colour run in June. Time is running out so starting at week 4. So far so good and I am delighted given my age and a recent horrid virus ~ which might have been Covid.
