T4 remains low in spite of medication
I was first diagnosed with hypothyroidism many years ago by Dr Peatfield, and was medicated (Armour) until I emigrated in 2000. At that time I could no longer access meds from Dr P, and could not get diagnosed where I was. Fast forward 17 years (without treatment) and I returned home and started the

I posted a few weeks back as I was feeling jittery, spaced out, irritable etc and been having some low grade headaches. Did a MMH blood test which showed T3 & T4 had gone down slightly. . I had stopped my T3 lunchtime dose for a few days and calmed down a bit , then back to normal dose for a few days

Levothyroxine and homeopathic medicines
Hello, I am considering weaning myself off (with GP guidance) of Sertraline as it doesn't work for me regardless of dosage - currently on 50mg. I am considering going down the homeopathic route instead but is it safe to combine levo and natural remedies? If so, are there any that you can't? GP's

Thyroid and the Menstrual Cycle?
When I was first diagnosed with Graves diseases my periods had practically stopped. I had no period for almost a year thinking the menopause was to blame. I started Carbimazole and reacted badly to it and had Rai. Soon after I started Levo. My periods have often been on the heavy side, but after having

Blood test Timings
The last 2 blood tests I had have gone awry... For the last year, I've followed the guidance on here re timings, dosage fasting etc. But the last 2 were sprung on me last minute, so I had taken my levo dose the night before and my blood test was late morning, plus I'd eaten. These 2 blood tests were:

good morning, I’ve just received my advanced thyroid panel from medichecks and I hoped someone could interpret them for me please? A bit of history, I developed an overactive thyroid with graves and t.e.d in 2001, I had radio iodine which obviously knocked me underactive. I got put straight on levothyroxine

Anyone else tried NDT due to levo side effects?
Hi All I've struggled with different brands of levothyroxine as they give me terrible side effects (Teva is the worst). Wockhardt seems to be the only one I can tolerate, however I have not been feeling myself for a couple of months, and wondering if I now can't tolerate this one either. I feel weird

Medication for subclinical hypothyroidism
Hi everyone, I've posted here before regarding subclinical hypothyroidism, not sure what is causing it. I've ruled out celiac disease, I'm trying to take iron and b12 everyday, but still my tsh is consistently high. My GP has agreed to trial 25mg levothyroxine. I'm really worried after reading how

WARNING-LIQUID LEVOTHYROXINE USERS
On 11/11/22 I finished a bottle of Brillpharma Liquid levothyroxine which had a full size syringe . I did not get Brillpharma again until 12/7/23. At this time, the syringe supplied to measure the 5ml dose changed to a short, stubby, clear plastic one. Because my bloods have suspiciously risen , on

job and thyroid
I wanted to just share my current situation. My brain fog is finally improving since being on Euthyral. Been on it for 6 weeks but I fear it may be too late to save my job. I'm devastated. I started my new dream job last May and initially my probation period was 4 months but they have just told

Thyroid tests
I have Graves disease since 2007 and had thyroidectomy in 2019. I have felt fine for the last 4 years on levothyroxine (75mcg Monday to Saturday, 50mcg on Sundays). I've recently developed digestive issues with some indigestion and morning diarrhea or loose stool at best. Had FIT test which was negative

Moving and liothyrinine
Live in Dorset and been prescribed liothyrinine since 2012 through endocrinologist. I am moving to Brighton at end of month and petrified it won't be prescribed. I moved there before and wouldn't prescribe and then returned to Dorset. I have seen endocrinologists once a year here. Does anyone know

How to prepare for my thyroid test?
Hi all, I’m on the following routine and wondered what I should do with my thyroid medication the day before the test: First dose: 3am - 125mcg Levo, 5mcg - T3 Second dose: 11am - 2.5mcg T3 I will do the test around 8am ensuring I’ve only had water. So should I NOT take the 11am T3 dose the day

Weight gain on Levo
I never used to have issues with my weight and happily stayed around 63kg until my symptoms kicked off and I got up to 96kg! I’ve kept a close eye on my weight since starting 50mcg Levo in Feb 2022 and can see that I gained another 4kg in weight which stayed the same even when increasing to 75mcg.

New blood test results, low vitamins, advice please
i test every 6 months. I started taking Armour 1/4 grain in May because my consultant (listed in Thyroid UK directory) thought my FT3 was low in range. I had to change to Thyreogland (from a pharmacy in Munich) because i can’t get Armour delivered to France post-Brexit. I take Thyreogland twice a day
