Seeking a natural cure for prostate cancer.
I am a 70 y/o , diagnosed with Intermediate Grade Prostate Cancer in April 2021. Biopsy showed one Gleason 8 (4+4), one 7 (4+3) and the rest were mostly 6 s and 7s (3+4). After much reading I opted to go the natural healing route; I spent two weeks in Baja Mexico doing modified Gerson Therapy

Who knows about ferritin/ iron tests? Confused here! Do I need to do something? Help please!
I get confused with ferritin and iron results, as I can't remember how they work together. Ferritin is low, but haemoglobin is ok? My GP marked everything 'normal'. I'd be grateful for some explanation and advice on what to do please! I have felt more tired. In fact absolutely exhausted a couple of

Low-Carb Diet, Gut Microbiome, Leaky Gut, etc.
New study from the CAPS2 (Carbohydrate and Prostate Study 2) team. led by Steve Freedland. "Accumulating evidence suggest a role of gut microbiota in urologic health including prostate cancer (PC), potentially via its impact on intestinal permeability (IP). When the gut microbiota community is disrupted

Information about a RO for treatment following BCR at a proton beam therapy facility
Greetings fellow travelers. I'm seeking recommendations about an experienced RO at a proton beam facility for treatment following BCR. Any information that you might be able to offer would be appreciated.

10 months into PMR and GCA update
Happy post Easter everyone. It has been 4 months since I last posted an update and it has been a rocky passage since. Was up to 35mg pred. and tried to reduce again when stable but failed again at 22.5mg pred. Depressing really but I have learnt a lot in the interim. I've been quiet trying to work

Going back to the beginning
Hi All, I have decided to start from the beginning again in looking at my thyroid function. I was originally one of Dr Peatfield's patients and have been taking T3 daily for last 10 years. Dr Peatfield diagnosed me with hypothyroidism 10 years ago, but I never got a diagnosis on the NHS as my TSH levels

Rising Platelets; Feeling wiped out
Hi Everyone, This is my first post, I've been looking for forums to discuss what could be going on with me. To start , I guess this isn't related but my dad passed of CLL and B-Cell Lymphoma and my daughter had high risk ALL at 4 years old. After three years of treatment, we came out fine :). Needless

Low Protein Diet
I'm starting a low protein diet and allowed 46 grams a day. I have a few questions: (1) does this allowance involve both plant and animal protein; (2] if it involves plant protein, does the plant protein have to be "complete " proteins or just any proteins; (3) if I only eat 30 grams on a day, can

Help with deficiencies during early pregnancy
I’m wondering if anyone could please help me. Before I knew I was pregnant (I can only be about 4 weeks in) I went and had blood tests done at my gp because I had muscle/ joint pain, fatigued, dandruff, dry skin, low mood. My results came back and the following were highlighted in red: B12/folate level

CD19 CAR-T cell therapy for B-ALL achieved remarkable efficacy with a complete remission of 70–90%
This looks interesting but way over my knowledge base. Perhaps some of you super brains can figure this out. In recent years, the increasing advancements and applications of cellular immunotherapy have enabled the use of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy, and it has emerged as an efficacious

THYROID TEST AT LAST
After many years of trying to get a proper Thyroid test I’ve now had one but don’t know what the results mean. I’ve a verbal appointment booked with a Doctor as my results were abnormal. This is what I can ‘read’ from the test - Serum C reactive protein level - 21.0 pmol/L. Serum free T4 level 21.0

Sorry if I'm worrying and wasting time here
I posted a little while ago after having a fibroscan with the results of CAP 328 and kpa 20.3. I saw the GP a week or so later, at the end of February, with abdomen tenderness who decided I probably had gallstones which would account for the extreme tenderness across all the top of my abdomen, and

GP will say I'm hyperthyroid and reduce my T4. According to these blood tests, would she be right?!
I am taking T4 Levothyroxine 125mcg x1 with self-prescribed T3 25mcg x twice daily. I’ve been taking T3 for 5 years, and I feel I’ve hit the right spot with my current thyroid regime. However, my bloods appear to read otherwise. Indeed, as far as I can see, they combine to form the picture of hyperthyroidism

How do you all get your calories on a low protein diet?
My husband is trying to eat as low protein as possible while still eating healthy and getting 2000 calories per day. He's only 142 pounds so he cannot afford to lose weight. We found on Kidney.org that is says to add syrup from canned fruit or to eat candy. We think that that is terrible advice. Anyone

Fatty liver?
Hi. I've just had an ultrasound of my liver based on the elevated crp (.7) and hscrp (7.6) my blood work revealed. I'm what they call severely obese and have arthritis in my hip, foot and ankle issues from birth. Hypertension. All of my other values were normal. I'm scared because they also want me

Using Albutrix
I have been using Albutrix for one month. Until I receive my next blood and 24-hour urine test results, I do not know how well it works. I have read the entire book, Stopping Kidney Disease by Lee Hull. It is excellent. I have started to read some of the referenced scientific articles, such as:

What's the relevance of low mean cell haemoglobin, but normal haemoglobin concentrate levels?
I'm confused about these results! Please can anyone help? What does mean cell haemoglobin mean? I I thought it meant I was anaemic, but my haemoglobin concentrate is normal. My ferritin is too low again I know. I understand my thyroid levels. I'd reduced T3 from 30 to 25mcg for 6 weeks hoping my TSH
