Lavender oil
I think someone recently posted that lavender oil was estrogenic. I have received this link from my Naturopath - http://roberttisserand.com/2013/02/lavender-oil-is-not-estrogenic/ So it is quite safe for anybody to use.

Doing better now than 6 months ago.
In the last 6 months i have improved my quality of life. I have less Dyskinesias if any now. I overall feel better. I stopped taking Azilact and my night time depression has gone and I no longer loose control of my feelings. I know longer worry about things and no longer feel doom and gloom. I have

Started T4 - 3 weeks ago - feel much worse!
Hi all I started on Levothyroxine sodium exactly 3 weeks ago. Dose of 50ug one day and 25ug next day and I feel and look much worse! I know advice here states it can take up to 6 weeks to feel any effect. By the way I'm self medicating as though was a long wait to see Endocrinologist and GP wouldn't

Results on NDT
Hi everyone. I have been on NDT now for a littleover a year. I have been OK at 2.5 grains, but recently started feeling very tired. It could be stress (a lot on my shoulders) but I thought I'd better rule out undermedication. I have no hyper symptoms at all. I also supplement vit d, omega 3, b12, iron

Tips on dealing with IBS flare ups? FODMAP tips?
I'm nearly 19 and I've had IBS type M (goes from diarrhea to constipation then settles down eventually) for about a year. To deal with it I had taken mebeverine which didnt do much, biupspen and peppermint oil that help a bit better and have gone gluten free/ wheat free. For the past month or so I've

Full abdominal hysterectomy
I had mine nearly 4 weeks ago. I am well and have had no pain. Rest is the key. Been out three times but only for a short time. I get tired very easily. Just listen to your body. Drink lots of water. Spoil yourself. My essential oils have helped a lot.

Hemp seed oil and flax seed oil.
Hi all. I've been taking both these supplements for a coupe of months now. I heard both are good for you. Just read that flaxseed oil is good for preventing ovarian cancer. Bit late for that. Does anyone else take them/ have any ideas on them. I'm wondering if I should be taking both or just stick

Hey all, I am 20 years old. I got food poisoning from a juice cleanse about a year and a half agao and have been fighting IBS ever since. It is definitely hard to come to terms with. I have improved it a lot through trial and error (and many painful mistakes). I also went toward functional medicine and

Hi I'm 25 and in the last few months my IBS has become very bad! I think it's been there for about a year but not it's gotten to a point where it's ruining my life and I'm fed up. I'm scared to eat. I don't ever eat anymore if I'm going out or going on a date or anything social :( I'm a young woman and

Losing strength in hands and wrists.
Much more aware of this, this time around and have been forgetting. My hands and wrists are not feeling strong and I am currently in pain. I think I have strained my left hand over my 20 month old Carpal Tunnel surgery scar. Very sore and not really responding to analgesia. I can't even tell you

Metastatic and moving forward
Hi, I am Denni. I am a 66 year old female metastatic breast cancer #lifer #thrivor. I currently reside in Angels Camp, CA. I was diagnosed in December of 1995 with Stage III cancer in my right breast. My mother died from breast cancer when I was 13 and she was 54, so I chose to have bilateral mastectomies

Advice on how to manage narrowing of the bowel?
Looking for advice and tips on how to manage narrowing of the bowel during chemo before surgery; in terms of laxatives, diet and general care? My Mum has been diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer, she is in her late 60s. She has tumours on her small bowel, a large build up of ascites and a narrowing

Totally without scientific proof!
I started using essential oils to make up a rub for my sore knees (injury now passed) then progressed to using them in a burner for nice smells in the wintertime. I've found if I use peppermint oil in the burner it feels as if I've just eaten something pepperminty rather than making me want to eat something
