I got impetigo and I’m due to get my Covid booster
hi all, hope you are all enjoying the nice weather although from indoors. I was going to the gym up to last week and since Tuesday I got impetigo in my face. At first I thought it was a cold sore but I don’t usually have cold sores and this was itchy and had a runny liquid so I went to the pharmacy and

MCT Oil
in another thread someone posted today about MCT oil. I hadn’t heard of this and have tried to research it. It seems to be useful in a variety of situations and claims include support in weight gain, increased energy, constipation t and pain relief. Really it sounds a bit of a ‘cure all’. I’m wondering

OA in hip and right shoulder
I've tried Voltaren, Duloxetine ( which did not stop the pain) Aleve, Tylenol, shot in the hip. I really don't want surgery, I'm 69. I even tried castor oil poultice.Id like just like to manage pain at night so I can sleep.... During the day when I'm up I can deal but nights are the worst.

New study just out (3/31/23) on natural therapies for tau aggregation (PSP included)
My father was recently diagnosed with PSP and I have been researching like crazy. I searched all 125 clinical trials on the Government website and all the pubmed articles and studies. This one just came out 3/31/23! It looked at all the studies that have been done on natural supplements, foods, therapies

Insomnia and sleep clinics
Has anyone been to a sleep clinic for Insomnia? What happens? What kind of tests do they do? What kind of treatment can be offered? Does it work? I'm 45 and have struggled to sleep for most of my life, certainly from adolescence onwards but every now and then it gets worse. I typically run on 4

Vitamin supplements: good or bad?
For 45 years I have taken mega doses of vitamins and other health supplements every day without fail. These include 2000mg vitamin C and 400iu of vitamin E and fish oil capsules. These are supposed to enhance the auto immune system. As rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is caused by an over active immune system

Bone marrow transplant possibility and leriglitazone update
An update to which I had previously posted; ,I went to London and met Doctor Robin Lachmann. He is going to start me on the drug soon then I will need to go bk to London after being on it for 4 weeks so they can tweak the dosage. He views this more of a temporary solution though and I think has concerns

Success with Adderall dependence and changing medications?
Anyone have any luck changing medications while dependent on Adderall? If so, how did you do it and what if any supplements did you use? Even if it was just quitting altogether, that can be helpful too. I am not addicted, but I am definitely dependent on Adderall. Like many others. The chance to stop

When does supplementation become toxic or counter-productive?
My Dear Fellow Adventurers, Firstly, thank you for the wealth of information and inspiration - having this commuity makes so much difference! I have a question today, that I have already asked both my doctor and pharmacist (neither were able to help): as I add a new supplement every few months

I recently found out about Gotu Kola which is found in some teas and can help against Alzheimer’s and promote tranquility. Also jasmine flowers can help fight against Alzheimer’s as can Ginko Biloba a as no Omega 3 fish oils. I wanted to share for those of you interested in improving brain health.

Non-Chewable Multivitamin Options?
My son is 6 and is great about swallowing pills but hates the texture of anything chewable. Has anyone found a good swallowable multivitamin? We like the Nordic Naturals fish oil softgels but can't seem to find any good reputable multivitamins for a kid his age other than chewables. I'd rather not
