Confused with complex ovarian cyst and next steps
Hi there Just looking for some advice. I’ve never had any period pain or issues at all (I’m 40) until a couple of years ago and then they’ve been getting progressively worse. I have extreme bloating and then I’ve had some cycles that had me doubled over screaming with pain etc. Increasingly I’ve been

Scared. Mind is racing. Mom needs heart surgery.
I've posted before kind of on this topic but since I've become more agoraphobic and neurotic and shut down and hiding in my house. My mom needs heart surgery. She is my best friend. She is 82. I am 47. I don't have a partner or kids. I have a brother. He helps sometimes but he isn't completely emotionally

Does RA exist in the hips?
I've had fibromyalgia for around 20 years so am familiar with the symptoms. RA was diagnosed 4 years ago and I am now on Sarilumab jabs. I had a terrible flare around 4 weeks ago and couldn't get through to Rheumatology by any means. The pain in my hips was like fire and I had no real sleep for 2

My partner had a health check up a few weeks ago. She didn't notice until the morning of the check up that she had to provide a urine sample, she had already been to the toilet that morning so she drank over a half a litre that morning and provided a sample while she was in the surgery. She received

Hi all, I have PFO and a true atrial septum aneurysm. I have surgery booked to close the PFO on 10th November. I have been told to make the DVLA aware and they said they will investigate. Does anyone know of they take my licence away from me please? Thanks

Am in need of a bit of tlc
My husband is 88 and has been having treatment for kidney stones, 3 different ops within a short space of time, and is within a whisker of having to have dialysis. My A/Fib has really come back and my bp which had been under control with no meds is now far too high and am taking increasing doses

How long does GP surgery have to respond to a SAR
I handed in a subject access request to GP surgery on 29th August. Heard nothing, think maybe they are being deliberately obstructive . Went in on Saturday for flue jab, the techy man, supposedly deals with all computer queries was there. He asked if I have had success adding daughter to MY GP app

I’m waiting to try and get back to see my consultant. I had my davinci xi laparoscopic excision surgery on Friday last week so today is 6 days post surgery and my incision sites have gotten more infected even though I’m on antibiotics. My GP referred me to my consultant and it’s taken 3 days to get

I had a partial thyroid removal in March 2023 my thyroid test results in April were TSH 2.25 mU/L T4 13.3 pmol/L Do these results look ok. I have not been put on any medication since the surgery but have begun to feel unwell and am considering getting more bloods done?

Help getting B12 injections
A few years ago it was discovered that I had very low B12. The gp prescribed liquid but I wasn’t absorbing orally so he changed it to injections. The loading dose made such a difference and thereafter i had a B12 injection every 13 weeks. Then it all just stopped. The surgery decided they were

My T story
Hi, I had Open Heart Surgery for Mitral Valve prolapse in June 2022, Occular migraines started straight away, followed by 24/7 tinnitus which started in March of 2023, I am convinced there is a connection to the surgery, but who knows! I moved to USA in 2009, prior to that I was born and lived in Manchester

Saw eye dr today for yearly visit
And when I was reading the lines when she askes which is better, which is worse, I couldn't make out the bottom line because it was so blurry. Turns out, I have early cattaracts that are right in my line of vision. I will eventually need cataract removal surgery. I am in my mid 40s. The eye dr said
