No jogging for me :-(
I have the stiffest and most painfully sore neck I have ever had in my life. I barely got any sleep last night. So there is no way I can go jogging today, I think I'd pass out after about 5 minutes if I even made it that long. I tried heat, Ive tried cold, I've tried Ibuprofen and paracetamol (not together

Endometriosis and PCOS.
I have suffered with uncontrollable hormones since puberty. I have been on Cerazette since I was 14 years old. This stopped me having periods. In October 2010 I was having severe lower abdominal cramps, so I went to see my GP. He had a scan arranged within weeks for me and told me to come off my pill

GP Saga Continues... Anyone work for the NHS/have info for me?
For those who kindly read and replied to my previous post about my disastrous gp appointment over a week ago... I've just received a letter from my GP which basically says that he's thought about referring me to the pain specialist at the other local hospital but he thinks for now I should just carry

The Document that All Endo Sufferers Must Read!
I was diagnosed with endo in 2004 and have done lots of research over the years. However, until today I've never discovered the RCOG Green Top Guidelines on the treatment of endometriosis. Here is the link: http://www.rcog.org.uk/files/rcog-corp/GTG2410022011.pdf I urge every endo sufferer to read

Swollen Fingers Knuckles and Wrists
I have had VERY swollen fingers knuckles and wrists for several months now and they are really painful. I have seen my doctor and been prescribed both Voltarol medication and Gell to apply directly. Neither of those treatments worked and so I was prescribed Codine to help with the pain, and was sent

Week 5 Run 3 take two!
Went out just before 4 to do my Week 5 Run 3 and started struggling after 5 minutes. After several starts and stops I came across an open door on a building that I pass every run. There's an elderly gent of 88 missing here since Thursday so I thought I'd call the police station just in case he'd gone

Any alternatives to Ketoprofen suppositories?
Hi there, I've been taking anti inflammatory suppositories for donkey's years. I used to be on Froben but they were discontinued. I was then put onto Ketoprofen which I was quite happily taking along with Esomeprazole. A couple of weeks ago these were discontinued as well. I've been using 100mg Voltarol

Goodbye week 8.....
Well, not having run for a week, as knee protested heavily since my last run, last Sunday, I decided that I would run on the treadmill this morning to see how things were. Started off well after the warm up and about 8 mins into run, was feeling a few twinges but y 10 mins, these had gone. The twinges

Concerned - Just starting
Ok I'm in the upper age range and overweight. I have to do something about it. Has anyone got experience of this? My partner thinks I'll injure myself. So out will come the heat rub , voltarol etc etc. So theres skepticism but support behind me. Am downloading the podcasts and need to set

Was I have a flare up?
Hi, I'm newly disagnosed and not had a flare up before. I'm not on medication at the moment as my blood counts keep dropping, I saw my consultant last Monday and he told me to stop taking my anti-inflammatories as this may be the cause of my low blood counts. He gave me voltarol gel to rub into my joints

Voltarol gel ??
My white blood cells keep dropping so I've been taken off MTX twice now. I take naprosyn anti-inflamatories, I went to see the rheumy consultant yesterday and he thinks it might be the naprosyn that is messing my bloods about. He has told me to stop taking the pills and use voltarol gel instead.

In agony, fed up and dunno what to do, from your experience is there any point in going to A&E?
My pain has been extreme for the last two days, I can't get out of bed as moving about makes me worse & feel like I'm going to collapse! This is much worse than normal for me, it's a horrible dragging feeling on top of my usual sharp stabbing pains & cramps, period started 8 days ago and I'm still bleeding

Voltarol/NSAID pain relief gels
Hey, just after some clarification and thought some of you may have the answers :) So I have an old shoulder injury (lots of dislocations followed by an operation to stabilise the joint) that has flared up over the last 10 days - your typical over the counter pain meds are not really touching it so

Voltarol - Diclofenac Sodium?
Can anyone tell me anything about Diclofenac? As an anti-inflammatory I found it very helpful for my back problems. When I got RA I was taken off of Diclofenac and given something else which did nothing. During my eight months without appointment, my GP put me back on it twice daily and I did feel better

Cortizone Shots...Good Times!
I am fairly new to this site, I thought this would be a perfect place to ask who out there is maybe in the same place as I am. I have R.A., and have been on disibility for about a year. I have tried Enbrel, Humera, Remicade, Orencia, methotrexate, & Arava. I am now on Cimzia with Arava. I really can't
