ECT and VNS
I’m out of things to try and feeling very desperate . Does anyone have any experience with either of these treatments? I’m truly suffering and I’m not sure how much more I can take. I’ve tried so many medications and alternative therapies I’m very lonley and I’m worried my depression will never stop.

Thanks for the replies to my previous post
Thanks for your replies to my first post everyone. Comforting to know I'm not alone in feeling overwhelmed by this, but I'm blown away by how many people are enduring this and find ectopics really debilitating. It's so sad that our feeling are dismissed as unimportant by people who have no idea what

Vagal a fib
I listened to a cardiologist on utube. He mentioned vagal a fib. Does any one what this is? It seems to be a younger cohort but I presume it comes with the usual meds. How can you find out if you have it? I seem to be able to stop a fib attacks with vagal manoeuvres and sometimes my a fib is brought

Happy 2023, bravehearts! A question on vagus nerve involvement....
There's more research on
VNS
for chronic fatigue and IBS, so could be useful for my husband in any case. Wishing happiness, health and healing to all

Parkinson’s and vagal nerve stimulation, promising human studies.
RESULTS: PD patients showed instable gait with insufficient range of motion during usual walking. [u]
Active taVNS improved gait characteristics including step length, stride velocity, stride length, and step length variability compared with sham taVNS after completion of the 7-day therapy.

2023: Your Successes and Failures
My mum is 83, has PD and dementia.
Successes
1. Constipation and digestive issues very much helped with the addition of Motilitone, a prokinetic. Once a day or every other day now. No strain. Zero stress around the issue now. Previously, there was a great deal. Abdominal pains have gone. (

Vagus nerve stimulation'
I've posted here a few times to discuss gut health for those of you suffering from PA who also have gut issues. In my quest to find some relief from visceral hypersensitivity and massive intolerances (leading to malabsorption) I began acupuncture treatment this year. I am very lucky to have an anethesist

Vagus Nerve Stimulation for RLS
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37846650/ An interesting study on Vagus Nerve Stumulation on 15 drug resistant RLS patients showed significant improvements in quality of life scale and that 2 of the 15 reduced their IRLSS below 5. The study doesn't say what meds the patients were taking. Sadly, they

Anyone with Vagus Nerve Stimulation savvy?
Intimations...you catch a glimpse, hear an echo of something and then your pudding-head distills it and throws up a lifeline, maybe. Seems that vagal tone is extremely important: anyone with experience with it in PD management, feel free to chime in. Thank you very much.

chronic fatigue, and post exertional malaise
I was diagnosed and start a treatment for B12 deficiency neuropathy, six years ago. I’m one of those people who started to get better and then took a turn for the worse and now I need to inject twice a day. I’ve been suffering with debilitating fatigue, brain fog and increased exhaustion if I push myself
