Urgent help please - feeling total despair - think I'm going crazy after stopping and restarting levothyroxine - blood results included
Long term I want to look at getting T3 to take as well, and sort out my nutrition,

D
(might be tricky as I have bad reactions to yeasts and lots of B vitamins are yeast derived and have reactions to other things in supplements) but currently I just need to not feel the way I do just now.

Can B12 Injections Give Muscle Twitches?
Good day Good people of this forum. I recently started more aggressive B12 injections, 1cc every other day. I have been having small muscle twitches for last 2+ years but noticed then being worse since I started injecting more B12 Any thoughts?

Thyroid question please...
Hi everyone, I am writing to ask if you can have a sore thyroid without significant enlargement and with 'normal' bloods? I have had 'normal' bloods, it doesn't seem visually enlarged, though I feel like I am being strangled and have audible sounds when I swallow in my ears. When I move my head something

B12 and Ferritin
I said I would post after my haematology consultation. I had a ferritin infusion in February after suspecting that I was ferritin/iron deficient as a result of research into ranges etc. I discovered that 30 can be regarded as ferritin deficient, a lot more than the bottom of the range 11 regarded as

Thorne Basic B Alternative
Good morning team! I started taking Thorne Basic B yesterday and I am not reacting well to it. My private blood results should be back today and I'll hold off purchasing anything else until then but I was hoping someone could recommend a complex with lower dosages, please? I don't know if it's the

Any tips for Natural Modified FET (boost lining)?
Hi everyone, I have a persistent thinnish lining (around 6 to 7mm) after an episode of abnormal bleeding between periods (turned out to be silent endo and a polyp that did not show up on ultrasound). Before that, 11mm was my average. After failing a recent FET, my doctor decided to monitor my lining

Blood Test Results
Hi I have trouble getting a GP appointment - in that I never get one. Test results are relayed via the receptionist so never any opportunity to ask questions. This is the latest test and as a result I've been told to vary my dose (normally 125mcg) taking 100mcg alternate days, 125mcg on the others.

Eligard and bicalutamide.
Started eligard and bicalutamide post RP in 2018. Followed advice of urologist until 2022. New urologist took me off both after PSA of 0.01. Unfortunately, l did not receive advice about secondary effects of the above drugs-osteoporosis etc. A DEXA scan in 2022 revealed high possibility of bone fractures

Do I need to increase folic acid/folate intake with B12 shots?
Hello all, I am within one week of taking daily b12 injections as a loading dose. A group on Facebook advise a protocol of taking 5mg of folic acid daily as it is a cofactor for b12. I get that part but I’m checking whether it’s necessary to take such a high amount of folic acid if, prior to starting

Alcohol and B12/folate deficiency
Just wondering if any of you lovely people avoid alcohol? I haven't felt much like drinking recently but when I have, I feel absolutely awful the next day. Just wondering if it's just extra pressure on the body that makes me feel bad or if there's a proven connection I haven't come across yet? Thanks

long term omeprazole use
I was taking omeprazole for about 15 years and stopped in December last year, as I had done some research and found out it can affect stomach acid. No one told me to stop taking it. I don’t even know why I was put on it in the first place, up I think it was for IBS. I haven’t had any acid reflux or indigestion

Origin of Loading
Does anyone know the origin of the practice of prescribing loading doses? For lack of better information I have been using the assumption that it is a hol over from when B12 was first synthesized over 1/2 a century ago. That the practice originated when B12 deficiency was thought to be a hematological

Folate timing
Good morning, I’m taking folate as we’re trying for a baby and I’ve read this is better than folic acid. My question is do I need to take it at a different time to levothyroxine? I take it 30 mins to an hour after, but I’m not sure if it’s like iron and should be several hours apart. Many thanks for

Just a moan - appointment cancelled
So just need a quick rant to people who understand so I can move on and get on with my day. Booked my 8 weekly jab no options on the day only 2 days before or a week late, was told they'd have to message the GP for permission to book early so I explained that by a week late I will be feeling very ill

symptoms flare-up
I have been battling an iron deficiency since November, that seems to be a result of my correcting b12 deficiency with shots. I have not been taking the full recommended dose of iron until about a week ago. My ferritin is 25, which is up from 14, but still deficient. The last 3 weeks or so I have notice

Low T4 still.
My FT4 result continues to be quite low, I would welcome advice on my medication. SlowDragon, I think you have commented in the past. I would value your opinion now. I have been unsure what to do as there seem to be many warnings about atrial fibulation. FT4 14.6 pmol/L (9.0 - 23.0) FT3 5.4
