Vitamins/supplements for cll?
I found out AFTER I was diagnosed with CLL that low
vitamin
D
is a risk factor for getting CLL. I have had chronically low
vitamin
D
even though I worked outside for half my working life. I was haphazard in supplementing the past 30 years.

Vitamin D: Secondary Analysis of the VITAL Randomized Clinical Trial (with a surprise!)
I don't know if this was previously posted (it's from 2020)...but it's fascinating. In their first analysis the researchers did not take into consideration...fat https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33206192/ Ah the secondary analysis was done by the same researchers from the original study!

ANyone taking Prolia for osteoporosis?
I have Lupus, Hyperparathyroidisn, Low
Vitamin
D
and low body mass that all contribute to the problem. Unfortunately, it has continues to get worse. I have been hesitant to take Prolia as it will be in the body for 6 months and if I react, that is concerning. I had trouble with Forteo.

I also took
vitamin

as prescribed by my doctor. As a result I also lost weight! My AP spine has gone from -3.3 to -2.9 and my Femur has gone from -2.8 to -2.6. (Not enormous drops but going in the right direction).

Thyroid Genetic Panel - Results
DI02 - suggest taken T4/T3 therapy, calcium and
Vitamin
D
for low mood. PDE8B - TSH Signalling - The A allele on rs4704397 is linked to reduced thyroid sensitivity to TSH stimulation. This could result in higher TSH levels in order to produce normal levels of thyroid hormones (T4 and T3).

Advice on ‘normal’ test results
D
level 47 nmol/L [75.0 - 250.0]; Between 25 and 50 nmol/L:
Vitamin
D
insufficiency (Told to take supplements) Also got a text message to lower my cholesterol Do the thyroid results in particular need no action given T4 is below normal range?
