Levothyroxine and B12 possible interactions
I have been taking Levothyroxine for many years and believe that the symptoms I experience for both too much or too little Levothyroxine are identical. When I experience an increased pulse rate that can be because of either too much of too little Levothyroxine but keeping my dose fixed this problem is

Taking Urso
Good morning, everyone! I have a question about Urso. Is it fine to take your Urso in one dose instead of two? I never forget mornings. I also have no reactions to taking it so far after two and a half months. I also have a question about bone density tests. I have found a former student who

I’ve never posted on here before as I’ve been really lucky with my surgery and treatment of my B12. However, on 05/01/24 I was informed that this would be my last injection, I would need a blood test to confirm if my injections were to be continued. Quite open about the fact that everyone in the surgery

I am a doctor who got interested in RLS over 6/12 ago when my wife's RLS went crazy when she was trying to use Phenergan (sedating antihistamine) to sleep. After a couple of sleepless night she was a mess and complained "And there is no treatment for restless legs!!". I thought that could not be right

still confused about my iron results
I’ve now redone my iron panel with medichecks and have similar results to last time. I can’t work out why my ferritin continues to drop. And what I can do about it as I know I need higher ferritin levels for optimum thyroid hormone function. …………………………… Ferritin……….Iron……….. Trans. Sat………..TIBC……….

I struggled with pains, burning in my feet like hot coals striking up my legs at night.. I had two spina bifida children 60 yrs ago caused by lack of folic acid, so since my body didn't make, googled it and found peripheral nerve damage could be a though. I sent of for vitamins containing folic acid

iron supplements
hello! I wondered if anyone could recommend an iron supplement that has no nasties in? The GP suggested I go on it because I’m slightly anaemic. I am very careful with other supplements to not have additives that might trigger the AF (like B12, Vit D etc) but can’t seem to find an iron supplement that

Male fertility & Advice
When I was 15 (2008) I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma Disease and required chemotherapy. I was told it could impact on fertility with the chances being 50/50. I was asked to provide a sample but chose not to. Now in my 30s I am trying for a baby with my partner. We’ve been trying for

What is supplies run out?
Hello all. I use Methylcobalamin and was wondering if the place I buy mine from goes out of business, what I would do. I've tried finding a backup or two, but so far the place I buy from is $55.00 for a vial (10 shots/vial). I mean I have no reason to think they will go out of business, but with things

I am in the throws of reading Chris van Tulleken's book Ultra-Processed People. It has been an eye opener. Not that one hasn't been aware of the harms of processed food but perhaps one has been unaware at how extensive it is and also how seemingly malicious for corporate gain? What does come out is

Results guidance please
Hello, Please could I ask for some advice on my recent blood test results? I’m on a journey to understanding the link between thyroid function and repeated miscarriages (I’ve put more details in my bio section). These were my results from December 2023 (from blue horizon). I spoke to a private endocrinologist
