Vitamin D and Dementia
partner=uk.co.bbc&origin=share-mobile (apologies to readers outside the UK) some of which covered
vitamin
D
deficiency
in the elderly and its link with dementia. There is some genetic evidence of a causal link, but the critical evidence, from a randomised clinical trial, has yet to be published.

Seeking help...
Turned out it was a
vitamin
D
deficiency
. A
vitamin
D
scrip and supplements fixed the problem. 2018: Fell out of tub on to butt. Three weeks later I start getting pins/needles in the feet (intermittent). This went away on its own after a while. In both of those cases I have EXTREME anxiety.

Should I consider seeing a doctor about PCOS?
- I had a
vitamin
d
deficiency
when I was about eight or nine, I took supplements to help but it was never confirmed that I no longer had a deficiency. At the time it came with aches in my joints, and now I'm getting similar aches again. - I'm often tired even when I've been sleeping well.

Dexa scan and low vitamin D
My question is, I had dire
vitamin
D
levels of 22 and
deficiency
for I suspect at least 7 years whilst carrying/breastfeeding two babies, and only since I discovered this forum have been able to get my levels to around 100.

Iron Infusions
When I was first diagnosed with my B12

, they also found that my
vitamin

Vitamin D dosing advice on this website
Unfortunately,
vitamin
D
deficiency
is defined against different guidelines around the world so it can be tricky.” 2.A vitamin D insufficiency (mildly low levels of vitamin D) usually doesn't cause symptoms.

Just need some advice on self injecting.
I also had
vitamin

and was slightly anaemic, so I’m on life long
vitamin

Vitamin B12 deficiency & Low Vit D
I’ve just started on B12 injections (6 over 2 weeks ouch ) as my levels were low . Many of the symptoms are similar to what I get with heart issues, extreme tiredness and breathlessness. It was only by chance that they added B12 onto my annual check up bloods after I mentioned being more exhausted

Pressure on bladder - non typical uti symptoms
She's also found she has a
vitamin
D
deficiency
. Could that play a part in these symptoms? Seeing as they are both new to her We don't know whether to wait for the lab results before taking the antibiotics...or take them and risk side effects for no reason! Can anyone give advice?

Update on Labs - What is Going On? :-)
Labs done ~7AM - 24 hours after T4 and 12 hours after T3, having stopped biotin 4 days prior. My endo has been good about letting me have needed T3 after being deficient for over a decade with other doctors. I am not sure what to make of the labs since she upped my T3 back in December. I started dosage

Aortic stenosis
Hi, I have heart disease and had a stent 2 years ago,I'm on a cocktail of medication.I had an echocardiogram recently that shows mild aortic stenosis and mild/ moderate aortic reguritation. This was a surprise to me as this has never been mentioned until now.Looking back at a CT Angiogram from 2019

Hike in T-Score due to steroid use. Worrying.
Hi All, just yesterday I finally got results from my DEXA .scan which I had done on 3rd of April. My T Score was T-2.3 (osteopina). My last DEXA scan showed my T-Score as -1.7 and deemed to be ok. This is quite a hike and I'm quite upset by i seeing that T-2.5 is Osteoporosis. I am Prednisolone

Newly diagnosed with PMR and thank you for all the info here
Hi everyone, I received a firm-ish diagnosis of PMR this morning, after a 1-week trial on prednisone that greatly reduced my symptoms. I’d say I’m about 60 to 70% better compared to a week ago, if one can really assign numbers to such things. I still have a slight burning in my arms but not painful
