Hydroxocobalamin
I have asked prior as part of other posts Where can I find the details on how or why Hydroxo is better or longer lasting and by how much longer lasting is it marketed as being . . . . . I think many need the details of the supposed advantages of Hydroxo. . . . . I certainly have bought and used

B2 B6
I am reading elsewhere on health unlocked that we need B2 to absorb B6 which prevents excess B6. . . . . This is conection with PD although seems appropriate for most I currently use B6 usually about 3mg along with 600/700ish B12 and I use B6 as B12 more or less cured a load of my symptoms but

Dr. John Campbell on Vitamin D and Prostate Cancer.
This video from Dr. John Campbell discusses a (in his opinion good) meta-analysis of Vitamin D and prostate cancer mortality. According to his assessment of the analysis, Vitamin D reduces all-cause mortality in those with prostate cancer. The study: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30352424/ The

Two Experiences
1)Two days ago I went wading in the lake where I open water swim. I did not measure the temperature but it was frozen 5 days prior. The pain was not as severe as it was when I waded in very cold water in 1965. There was not the relief I have experienced since 1965. The reason is I am not in as much

Vitamin C babies, anyone?
Has any mothers and mothers-to-be here supplemented with high doses of vitamin C in their pregnancy? How did/has your pregnancy and/or labour go/been? A couple of weeks ago I came across stories of vitamin C babies, reporting shorter labours, robust and alert babies, no/little tears and less stretch

8 Day Trial.
Current trial 1 mg hydroxocobalamin, 1.5 mg of adenosylcobalamin, 1.5 mg of methylcobalamin. Day one. No other supplements other than 50 mg of B6 twice a day in the form or P-5-P as symptoms do not indicate a need for any other supplements. Without supplementing B6 I experience peripheral neuropathy

My body did not get the memo.
I accept that a test had been done measuring the amount of Hydroxocobalamin and Cynocabalamin that can be measured in the urine at different times after the injection and that the numbers are likely repeatable. I do not know if any testing was done on a subject that was B12 deficient. I find it unlikely

MTX, fatigue and brain fog
Hi all.I've an annual (actually 16 months) review next week. First one since being diagnosed and I want to try and get the most out of it. I take MTX, 20mg weekly (orally) and folic acid 6 days a week. The MTX seems to be working in terms of joint pain and CRP is usually close to zero. I get mild

Needle size for Surgery injections?
Yesterday I had my 3 monthly B12 jab and was rather taken aback to be injected in the shoulder with a 21G 1 1/2 āneedle which was quite painful unlike when I self inject with 25G x 1ā needle. I donāt remember needles being this large in the past and wondered if this is common practice to draw from ampoule

New GP is considering to give me B12 pills instead of injections - would that be the same in the long run?
Started having B12 injections two yeas ago and worked fine. Now moved to a new village and the new GP ordered blood tests to see if I should continue. Fought back and said that without the injections my B12 levels are going down. He asked me to take vitamin pills and have another blood test. If levels

Latest blood test advice please I moved to 75mcg after taking bloods but now Iām not sure itās a good idea.
Hi all Iāve been on 50mcg Levothyroxine now for around 7 weeks ish and I tested Monday privately. I increased my dose to 75mcg thinking I needed it but my TSH has come back as 1.35 which was a bit of a shock I was still expecting it to be in the 3ās. My T4 looks to be at around 50% while my T3 is around

Duff batch of B12?
Have any self-injectors ever found their symptoms coming back big-time over a period of several weeks and wondered if they've been using a duff batch of B12? I have been self-injecting every other day for 18 months because of persistent neurological symptoms (paraspinal muscle spasm). I was doing great
