My last post for a while, Thanks everyone!!!
I’d like to thank everyone for all the support though the years of my PD. I have come quite a aways. Your kindness and support helped me get through the hardest years of my life. I will check back from time to time if I come up with something that can help others. I have chosen to let go of my Parkinson

My Platelets go down during the warmer months...
Hello everyone, I am new here--diagnosed in 2018 with JAK2+ ET, platelets currently in the low 600's. Here is my question: every year since I was diagnosed my platelets are much better in my May and September labs and then are much higher in December and March. For example, I was at 506 in September

Chlorella
I have been told that chlorella is a good source of b12 but I am doubtful that in a daily dose of 10 chlorella tablets you would get sufficient b12? I would be grateful for any info/advice. Thanks Vonni

New to the group - looking for some realistic advice on recovery time after loading doses
Hi all. I am new to the group and this delightful condition we all have! Similar story to many, blood tests showing low B12/folate/ferritin (although this hasn't been mentioned at all by my GP). Had 6 x loading doses followed by 5mg folic acid that I'm on for three months. I was told last week that since

Folate supplements with B12 injections
I am currently receiving loading doses (3 so far). I was low on B12 at 170 and low on folate (about 2) as well as macrocytic but not anaemic. Incidentally, I have low WBC but they are not sure if this is due to a bad infection a couple of months ago.I have been prescribed folate supplements but I didn't

low levels despite frequent injections?
My b12 levels are still low despite 8 months of frequent injections. My doctor doesn’t know why and I have to see a hematologist. has this happened to anyone else? Any thoughts as to what it might be?

High TSH (which keeps rising over the years) and consistently high T4 for 7 years with no major symptoms.
Hi, Over the last 7 years, my TSH has kept rising from around 5.88 and now it is at 11.9. My T4 has stayed consistently high at between 19 and 20 throughout this time. My antibodies test are normal with nearly non-existent antibodies and my T3 was normal in the middle of the range. All my other blood

Do Drs get a bonus for prescribing certain drugs ?
Does anybody know if Gps get a hand out for prescribing statins ? There has been a lot of controversy in regard to this topic. Late yesterday afternoon I had a call from my surgery. It was a Dr I had never heard of or had I spoken to her before. She was suggesting I were put on statins! I asked for

Blood Results
Hi, Following my last post, I have visited my GP due to ongoing palpitations. She was very sympathetic and did me a full run of blood tests. All came back ‘normal’ my TSH even slightly down to my last test. Bloods were taken at 9.15am as advised. I am not prescribed any thyroid medication and take 3000

Vitamin D
I’ve managed to raise my Vitamin D from 60 to 110 by taking for three months 3000 IU D3 with 100 mg K2. I’ve just begun to have unpleasant almost daily diarrhoea which I can only put down to the D3 - although it’s odd that it’s taken 3 months to become an issue. It was time for me to have a break

Stopping Injections After 3 Loading Doses
Hi! I’m new here and learning so much from reading all of the posts here. I was diagnosed with low B12 levels earlier on this year, although my PA antibodies came back negative. I was put on injections, and was meant to have 6 over 2 weeks followed by 1 every 3 months, however my GP had to stop them
